d'anciens lieutenants Yakuza,

29

00:03:27,208 --> 00:03:28,362

morts à ce jour.

30

00:03:29,108 --> 00:03:30,376

Photos de voiture.

31

00:03:30,544 --> 00:03:32,253

On dirait une voiture piégée.

32

00:03:33,296 --> 00:03:35,297

- J'ai une clé.

- D'un meuble, on dirait.

33

{a3}J'ai essayé toutes les serrures

de la maison.

34

00:03:38,138 --> 00:03:40,449

{pos(192,225)}J'ai même cherché

son ancien bureau au HPD.

35

00:03:40,574 --> 00:03:41,637

{pos(192,225)}Rien ne marche.

36

00:03:41,805 --> 00:03:44,223

J'ai essayé de relier

ce nombre à des comptes,

37

00:03:44,653 --> 00:03:47,461

passeports, numéros de sécu.

Rien.

38

00:03:48,020 --> 00:03:50,688

T'étais son équipier avant sa retraite.

Ça a un sens pour toi ?

39

00:03:51,694 --> 00:03:54,817

- C'est un numéro de dossier.

- C'est pas le classement du HPD.

40

00:03:55,664 --> 00:03:58,195

Avant l'arrivée de l'informatique,

ils utilisaient ce format

41

00:03:58,363 --> 00:04:00,364

pour les rapports de police.

42

00:04:00,532 --> 00:04:02,575

Et tu pourrais

retrouver ce dossier ?

43

00:04:03,561 --> 00:04:05,411

Je connais quelqu'un aux archives.

44

00:04:06,106 --> 00:04:08,764

C'est probablement le seul flic

qui me répondrait.

45

00:04:09,402 --> 00:04:10,811

Je vais le contacter.

46

00:04:11,486 --> 00:04:12,502

Merci.

47

00:04:16,258 --> 00:04:17,172

C'est nous.

48

00:04:23,013 --> 00:04:23,852

Merci.

49

00:04:23,977 --> 00:04:25,858

Escortez-les, ça serait gentil.

50

00:04:25,983 --> 00:04:26,983

Super.

51

00:04:28,200 --> 00:04:30,342

La victime s'appelle Erica Harris,

52

00:04:30,467 --> 00:04:32,276

26 ans, en voyage de noces.

53

00:04:32,401 --> 00:04:35,232

Trouvée dans le parc national de Kahana

en nuisette.

54

00:04:35,400 --> 00:04:36,715

Totalement désorientée.

55

00:04:36,840 --> 00:04:38,986

Elle était déshydratée

et en hypothermie.

56

00:04:39,154 --> 00:04:41,083

- Signes d'agression ?

- Rien de sexuel,

57

00:04:41,208 --> 00:04:43,908

mais elle a des blessures légères,

certaines défensives.

58

00:04:44,280 --> 00:04:46,368

Ça ressemble à un enlèvement.

59

00:04:46,536 --> 00:04:48,996

Ressemble à ?

Soit t'es enlevé, soit tu l'es pas.

60

00:04:49,164 --> 00:04:51,478

Elle se rappelle pas

avoir été enlevée.

61

00:04:51,603 --> 00:04:53,401

Le HPD l'a interrogée,

62

00:04:53,526 --> 00:04:56,257

elle sait même pas

comment elle a fini dans la forêt

63

00:04:56,382 --> 00:04:57,755

à 30 km de son hôtel.

64

00:04:57,923 --> 00:05:01,456

On a éliminé les trucs évidents ?

Problèmes psy, somnambulisme,

65

00:05:01,581 --> 00:05:03,280

je sais pas, trop fait la fête ?

66

00:05:03,405 --> 00:05:04,762

Oui, merci beaucoup.

67

00:05:04,930 --> 00:05:08,609

J'ai vu pire que de finir à poil

dans la forêt après une cuite,

68

00:05:08,734 --> 00:05:10,517

mais son taux d'alcoolémie

est normal.

69

00:05:10,685 --> 00:05:13,187

On attend l'analyse toxico.

Son dossier est nickel.

70

00:05:13,355 --> 00:05:14,563

Et le mari ?

71

00:05:14,731 --> 00:05:16,857

Il s'appelle Jake Harris,

introuvable.

72

00:05:17,025 --> 00:05:19,401

- Donc, il pourrait être suspect.

- Ou victime.

73

00:05:21,621 --> 00:05:23,042

Je ne comprends pas.

74

00:05:25,128 --> 00:05:28,202

Pourquoi quelqu'un nous ferait ça ?

Pourquoi Jake ?

75

00:05:28,919 --> 00:05:30,519

Je sais que c'est dur,

76

00:05:31,583 --> 00:05:34,124

mais j'ai besoin de savoir

ce qui s'est passé hier soir.

77

00:05:38,197 --> 00:05:39,638

Après dîner,

78

00:05:41,237 --> 00:05:43,619

on a marché longuement sur la plage.

79

00:05:44,106 --> 00:05:46,637

On est rentrés à l'hôtel

vers 22 h 30,

80

00:05:47,208 --> 00:05:48,305

on s'est couchés.

81

00:05:49,557 --> 00:05:50,391

Au réveil,

82

00:05:51,875 --> 00:05:54,186

c'était sombre et froid.

83

00:05:55,272 --> 00:05:56,956

Vous étiez dans la forêt ?

84

00:05:57,719 --> 00:05:59,191

J'étais dans une pièce.

85

00:06:00,856 --> 00:06:02,861

Dans une pièce

mais pas votre chambre ?

86

00:06:05,267 --> 00:06:06,964

Il y avait quelqu'un avec vous ?

87

00:06:08,394 --> 00:06:09,547

Je suis pas sûre.

88

00:06:10,611 --> 00:06:12,749

- C'était très sombre.

- C'est bon.

89

00:06:13,878 --> 00:06:17,710

- Vos mains et vos pieds étaient liés.

- Comment vous vous êtes libérée ?

90

00:06:19,255 --> 00:06:20,405

Je ne sais pas.

91

00:06:21,811 --> 00:06:23,356

J'étais dans le brouillard.

92

00:06:25,882 --> 00:06:27,082

Je me rappelle

93

00:06:28,251 --> 00:06:29,751

avoir couru dans les bois

94

00:06:30,801 --> 00:06:32,239

et je pensais,

95

00:06:33,109 --> 00:06:34,018

"Vas-y.

96

00:06:35,135 --> 00:06:36,233

Continue."

97

00:06:38,158 --> 00:06:39,466

C'est ce que j'ai fait.

98

00:06:42,685 --> 00:06:45,320

- Il s'est passé quoi après ?

- C'est mon seul souvenir.

99

00:06:47,021 --> 00:06:48,782

On va vous laisser vous reposer.

100

00:06:50,243 --> 00:06:51,759

Je sais que ça a été dur.

101

00:06:52,454 --> 00:06:54,079

Donc relaxez-vous.

Viens.

102

00:06:55,998 --> 00:06:57,650

Pourquoi t'as écourté ?

103

00:06:57,775 --> 00:07:00,499

J'ai interrogé assez de victimes

pour savoir quand arrêter.

104

00:07:00,624 --> 00:07:02,620

C'est pas qu'une victime,

c'est un témoin.

105

00:07:02,745 --> 00:07:04,984

Elle aurait pu nous aider

à trouver son mari.

106

00:07:05,109 --> 00:07:08,927

Elle peut pas dire ce qu'elle sait pas.

C'est une amnésie post-traumatique.

107

00:07:09,428 --> 00:07:11,555

En état de choc,

les gens perdent la mémoire.

108

00:07:12,524 --> 00:07:15,267

La belle-mère d'Erica, Nancy Harris,

arrivée de San Francisco.

109

00:07:15,435 --> 00:07:17,394

Dites-moi

ce qui est arrivé à mon fils.

110

00:07:17,562 --> 00:07:19,229

- Calmez-vous.

- Où est-il ?

111

00:07:19,630 --> 00:07:22,810

Capitaine Steve McGarrett, Five-O.

Mon équipe s'occupe de l'affaire.

112

00:07:22,935 --> 00:07:26,000

On utilise toutes nos ressources

pour trouver votre fils.

113

00:07:26,125 --> 00:07:27,780

Je voudrais parler à ma bru.

114

00:07:28,127 --> 00:07:30,449

Erica va bien. Elle est en soins.

115

00:07:30,969 --> 00:07:33,731

Vous ne comprenez pas.

Erica n'est pas une victime.

116

00:07:34,225 --> 00:07:36,955

Si quelque chose est arrivé à mon fils,

c'est sa faute.

117

00:07:51,581 --> 00:07:55,474

{pub}Jake et Erica, rencontrés il y a 6 mois,

fiancés 3 semaines plus tard.

118

00:07:56,015 --> 00:07:57,935

Vous croyez pas au coup de foudre ?

119

00:07:58,103 --> 00:08:00,711

Jake n'a jamais été impulsif,

ça m'a inquiétée

120

00:08:00,836 --> 00:08:02,564

qu'il agisse si imprudemment.

121

00:08:02,732 --> 00:08:05,317

Néanmoins,

je leur ai donné ma bénédiction,

122

00:08:06,258 --> 00:08:08,237

s'ils signaient

un contrat prénuptial.

123

00:08:08,972 --> 00:08:11,657

- Jake avait de l'argent ?

- Jake est associé principal

124

00:08:11,825 --> 00:08:13,531

chez Harris, Axelrod et Price.

125

00:08:13,656 --> 00:08:15,994

Le cabinet d'avocat

fondé par mon défunt mari.

126

00:08:16,327 --> 00:08:18,554

J'en déduis qu'ils n'ont rien signé.

127

00:08:19,482 --> 00:08:22,720

Après ma suggestion,

il n'a plus répondu à mes appels,

128

00:08:22,845 --> 00:08:25,130

je ne pouvais pas le joindre

au bureau, et là,

129

00:08:25,584 --> 00:08:27,923

je découvre

qu'ils se sont enfuis à Hawaï.

130

00:08:29,473 --> 00:08:31,900

C'était Erica.

J'en suis sûre.

131

00:08:32,025 --> 00:08:34,337

Elle s'est jetée sur mon fils

pour son argent.

132

00:08:34,712 --> 00:08:37,391

Elle l'a poussé à l'épouser,

elle l'a manipulé.

133

00:08:38,117 --> 00:08:39,852

Jake a une grosse fortune.

134

00:08:40,227 --> 00:08:42,896

Elle a juste un passé douteux

et plein de dettes.

135

00:08:43,064 --> 00:08:45,580

- Comment vous savez ça ?

- J'ai fait des recherches.

136

00:08:46,222 --> 00:08:47,734

Et vous ferez les vôtres.

137

00:08:49,946 --> 00:08:51,774

S'il vous plaît, trouvez mon fils.

138

00:08:56,781 --> 00:08:57,995

Les belles-mères.

139

00:08:58,434 --> 00:09:00,433

Tu t'entendais pas avec la tienne ?

140

00:09:00,558 --> 00:09:03,736

Pas vraiment. Elle vit à Manchester.

Elle est venue une fois.

141

00:09:03,861 --> 00:09:06,600

Les plus longues,

les plus horribles 48 h de ma vie.

142

00:09:06,725 --> 00:09:09,655

Ta belle-mère est venue d'Angleterre

juste pour deux jours ?

143

00:09:09,780 --> 00:09:12,709

Non, je l'ai mise à l'hôtel

après deux jours.

144

00:09:13,079 --> 00:09:14,566

C'était elle ou moi, poussin.

145

00:09:15,208 --> 00:09:18,182

- On sait quoi ?

- J'ai des infos sur les mariés.

146

00:09:18,350 --> 00:09:21,894

Erica Harris, née Erica Wells,

Jacksonville, 1984.

147

00:09:22,823 --> 00:09:26,792

Des jobs sans avenir un peu partout.

Elle a plus de 100 000 $ de dettes.

148

00:09:27,192 --> 00:09:30,986

Il y a 6 mois, elle va à San Francisco,

trouve un CDD et rencontre son mari,

149

00:09:31,640 --> 00:09:32,790

Jacob Harris.

150

00:09:34,115 --> 00:09:36,179

Regardez-le.

Une belle tête de vainqueur.

151

00:09:36,304 --> 00:09:38,118

- L'amour rend aveugle.

- Pas autant.

152

00:09:38,286 --> 00:09:40,011

Donc, évidemment, Danny,

153

00:09:40,136 --> 00:09:42,723

tu adhères à la théorie

de la belle-mère.

154

00:09:42,848 --> 00:09:45,209

Elle trouve un CDD

dans un cabinet d'avocats

155

00:09:45,377 --> 00:09:48,003

et 6 mois plus tard,

elle épouse l'associé principal,

156

00:09:48,171 --> 00:09:49,922

- donc oui.

- C'est possible.

157

00:09:50,090 --> 00:09:52,808

D'accord, combler ses dettes

lui donne un motif

158

00:09:52,933 --> 00:09:56,436

pour vouloir se débarrasser de son mari,

mais pourquoi simuler son propre rapt ?

159

00:09:56,561 --> 00:09:58,908

Pour avoir l'air d'une victime

et pas d'un suspect.

160

00:09:59,033 --> 00:10:01,810

Pour qu'on cherche quelqu'un

qui n'existe pas.

161

00:10:02,464 --> 00:10:05,395

D'après la sécurité de l'hôtel,

leur suite n'a pas été forcée

162

00:10:05,563 --> 00:10:08,128

- et personne n'y est entré.

- On a deux personnes

163

00:10:08,253 --> 00:10:10,542

enlevées dans leur chambre

au milieu de la nuit

164

00:10:10,667 --> 00:10:12,567

et on sait pas comment c'est arrivé.

165

00:10:12,692 --> 00:10:16,323

Leur voiture de location est sortie

du parking sud à 2 h 30.

166

00:10:16,491 --> 00:10:18,853

J'ai aussi la liste des appels

passés de la chambre.

167

00:10:18,978 --> 00:10:20,749

Rien qui sort de l'ordinaire.

168

00:10:20,874 --> 00:10:22,704

Mais la nuit de l'enlèvement,

169

00:10:22,872 --> 00:10:26,625

il y a cinq appels passés du téléphone

d'Erica vers un même numéro.

170

00:10:27,199 --> 00:10:29,015

Pagoda Hotel, Waikiki.

171

00:10:30,630 --> 00:10:33,215

Si elle a tué son mari,

peut-être qu'elle a un complice.

172

00:10:36,553 --> 00:10:39,041

Je ne sais rien sur le Pagoda Hotel.

173

00:10:39,651 --> 00:10:41,677

Je suis sûre de pas l'avoir appelé.

174

00:10:41,802 --> 00:10:45,352

Comment expliquer les cinq appels

de votre portable à l'accueil, hier ?

175

00:10:46,331 --> 00:10:47,479

Je sais pas.

176

00:10:50,225 --> 00:10:53,652

Jake a peut-être emprunté mon téléphone.

Il a oublié son chargeur.

177

00:10:55,254 --> 00:10:57,197

On sait que vous êtes partis

à la hâte.

178

00:11:01,080 --> 00:11:02,703

Vous avez parlé à la mère de Jake.

179

00:11:04,277 --> 00:11:07,374

Je sais ce qu'elle pense de moi,

mais j'ai pas épousé Jake pour l'argent.

180

00:11:07,542 --> 00:11:10,512

C'est vrai que vous avez refusé

de signer le contrat prénuptial ?

181

00:11:11,546 --> 00:11:13,421

J'étais prête à le signer.

182

00:11:13,855 --> 00:11:16,883

Jake a refusé. Il ne voulait pas

donner raison à sa mère.

183

00:11:17,921 --> 00:11:20,192

Et on est venus ici.

Pour s'éloigner d'elle.

184

00:11:21,183 --> 00:11:22,587

Cette femme est néfaste.

185

00:11:29,117 --> 00:11:31,612

Vous pensez

que j'ai fait quelque chose à Jake ?

186

00:11:31,999 --> 00:11:33,113

On dit pas ça.

187

00:11:33,238 --> 00:11:35,861

Vous devez comprendre

que vous êtes notre seul témoin.

188

00:11:36,029 --> 00:11:38,572

Et malheureusement,

ça fait de vous une suspecte.

189

00:11:39,925 --> 00:11:41,199

On venait de se marier.

190

00:11:42,114 --> 00:11:43,535

C'est notre lune de miel.

191

00:11:43,917 --> 00:11:45,292

Et Jake a disparu.

192

00:11:45,417 --> 00:11:48,623

Je peux pas retourner à l'hôtel,

car c'est une scène de crime.

193

00:11:49,001 --> 00:11:52,169

On peut vous installer dans un hôtel

avec la protection du HPD.

194

00:11:53,121 --> 00:11:54,463

Pour me surveiller ?

195

00:12:16,607 --> 00:12:19,571

Cette pièce est plus grande

que mon appart tout entier.

196

00:12:19,943 --> 00:12:23,432

- Le coffre de ma voiture aussi.

- Merci de me le rappeler.

197

00:12:24,364 --> 00:12:26,969

C'est donc ce qu'on a

pour 5 500 $ la nuit.

198

00:12:30,330 --> 00:12:33,675

C'est sûrement parce que je suis d'ici,{* faux CP}

mais je peux pas imaginer

199

00:12:33,800 --> 00:12:35,377

une lune de miel moins exotique

200

00:12:35,502 --> 00:12:38,374

que dans un hôtel de Waikiki

avec un groupe de ukulélé dans le hall.

201

00:12:38,499 --> 00:12:40,932

Tu veux aller où après ton mariage ?

Cleveland ?

202

00:12:42,783 --> 00:12:46,681

Si je me marie,

j'irai dans un endroit avec des pavés.

203

00:12:47,031 --> 00:12:49,309

Comme Prague ou Bruxelles.

204

00:12:49,641 --> 00:12:50,641

Quel luxe !

205

00:12:51,582 --> 00:12:53,473

Malia et moi, on est allés à Lanai.

206

00:12:53,831 --> 00:12:56,445

C'est tout ce que je pouvais payer

avec mon salaire de flic.

207

00:12:56,570 --> 00:12:58,283

Elle le méritait même pas.

208

00:13:00,094 --> 00:13:02,864

C'est facile de juger.

C'était pas si simple.

209

00:13:03,317 --> 00:13:04,591

Je suis désolée.

210

00:13:06,008 --> 00:13:09,582

Si tu veux oublier qu'elle t'a quitté

au pire moment, d'accord.

211

00:13:09,707 --> 00:13:11,581

Mais pas question

que je fasse pareil.

212

00:13:19,398 --> 00:13:20,498

Tu sens ça ?

213

00:13:23,855 --> 00:13:24,855

Quoi ?

214

00:13:26,163 --> 00:13:28,593

Ça sent le dissolvant pour vernis.

Une forte dose.

215

00:13:28,897 --> 00:13:30,549

Y a une porte qui communique.

216

00:13:31,504 --> 00:13:33,468

Ça serait le point d'entrée ?

217

00:13:33,593 --> 00:13:35,649

Y a eu cette affaire,

il y a quelques années.

218

00:13:35,774 --> 00:13:39,530

Un cambrioleur a envoyé de l'acétone

dans la ventilation avant de tout voler.

219

00:13:39,655 --> 00:13:41,878

- Comme le dissolvant.

- Exactement.

220

00:13:42,003 --> 00:13:44,239

Mais sous forme gazeuse,

il paralyse les victimes.

221

00:13:44,407 --> 00:13:46,650

Donc, ils se réveillent pas

pendant le vol.

222

00:13:46,775 --> 00:13:48,755

C'est inquiétant et bien pensé.

223

00:13:48,880 --> 00:13:52,456

Ça explique pourquoi

Erica ne se souvient de rien.

224

00:13:55,374 --> 00:13:56,209

Attends.

225

00:14:03,792 --> 00:14:05,189

Qu'est-ce que tu fais ?

226

00:14:09,841 --> 00:14:12,100

Juste assez gros

pour passer un tuyau de gaz.

227

00:14:13,363 --> 00:14:15,146

On doit entrer dans cette chambre.

228

00:14:16,883 --> 00:14:19,669

J'ai parlé au directeur.

Les appels du téléphone d'Erica

229

00:14:19,794 --> 00:14:21,408

étaient pour la 106, juste là.

230

00:14:21,918 --> 00:14:22,972

T'as un nom ?

231

00:14:23,097 --> 00:14:25,574

Il a payé d'avance, en espèce.

Une semaine qu'il est là.

232

00:14:37,180 --> 00:14:38,401

Y a personne.

233

00:14:40,883 --> 00:14:43,298

- Qu'est-ce que tu fais ?

- J'essaye de l'ouvrir.

234

00:14:43,466 --> 00:14:46,301

Primo, tu peux pas

ouvrir une porte sans accord.

235

00:14:46,649 --> 00:14:47,626

Compris ?

236

00:14:47,751 --> 00:14:49,429

- Et deuxio ?

- Ça doit être fermé.

237

00:14:50,949 --> 00:14:54,889

- C'est fermé.

- Mais j'ai entendu un appel à l'aide.

238

00:14:55,014 --> 00:14:57,938

"Aidez-moi", à travers cette porte.

239

00:14:58,106 --> 00:15:00,482

Nous donnant le droit

d'entrer sans permission.

240

00:15:00,607 --> 00:15:02,984

Et on aurait tort

de ne pas répondre à cet appel.

241

00:15:03,152 --> 00:15:04,507

Je suis d'accord.

242

00:15:06,776 --> 00:15:08,356

Qu'est-ce que tu fais ?

243

00:15:08,961 --> 00:15:10,980

Je pensais qu'on était d'accord.

244

00:15:11,404 --> 00:15:13,787

Je pensais demander les clés

au directeur,

245

00:15:13,955 --> 00:15:15,540

espèce de Néandertalien.

246

00:15:15,665 --> 00:15:16,879

Allons-y.

247

00:15:19,387 --> 00:15:20,480

Viens voir ça.

248

00:15:20,605 --> 00:15:23,922

J'ai hâte de leur dire

que toi et l'État leur devez une porte.

249

00:15:25,700 --> 00:15:28,346

Erica et Jake Harris.

Ils sont sur toutes les photos.

250

00:15:29,215 --> 00:15:31,717

Ils se sont ramassés un obsédé

pendant leur lune de miel.

251

00:15:39,021 --> 00:15:40,021

Il est armé !

252

00:15:41,637 --> 00:15:43,608

Five-O !

Tu bouges, je te tue.

253

00:15:52,199 --> 00:15:54,452

Kurt Miller.

Carte d'identité de Californie.

254

00:15:54,872 --> 00:15:56,371

Que faites-vous ici ?

255

00:15:56,539 --> 00:15:59,958

- On enquête sur une affaire. Et vous ?

- Il a une licence de détective privé.

256

00:16:00,645 --> 00:16:02,502

J'enquête sur une affaire, aussi.

257

00:16:09,064 --> 00:16:10,927

On dirait notre source d'acétone.

258

00:16:30,656 --> 00:16:32,082

T'as trouvé quelque chose ?

259

00:16:32,845 --> 00:16:34,326

Oui. Jake Harris.

260

00:16:45,994 --> 00:16:48,131

{pub}Le légiste dit

qu'il est mort depuis 12 heures.

261

00:16:49,426 --> 00:16:52,427

Ça situe le meurtre vers 2 h.

Ça colle avec l'histoire d'Erica.

262

00:16:52,812 --> 00:16:54,137

C'est pas tout.

263

00:16:54,305 --> 00:16:56,848

Quelqu'un a gazé leur chambre

depuis la suite d'à côté.

264

00:16:57,338 --> 00:16:58,795

Je pense à de l'acétone,

265

00:16:58,920 --> 00:17:01,706

Ça explique l'amnésie d'Erica

et son réveil dans les bois.

266

00:17:02,188 --> 00:17:05,664

- Tu sais qui occupait cette suite ?

- Non. Elle n'était pas réservée.

267

00:17:05,789 --> 00:17:08,329

Le suspect a utilisé

une clé de maintenance volée.

268

00:17:08,778 --> 00:17:11,219

- Ça avance de ton côté ?

- Je te tiens au courant.

269

00:17:12,114 --> 00:17:13,631

Je sais de quoi ça a l'air.

270

00:17:14,090 --> 00:17:15,694

J'ai moi-même été flic.

271

00:17:16,892 --> 00:17:20,582

Y a enlèvement. Une personne disparue.

Vous trouvez mes photos compromettantes.

272

00:17:20,707 --> 00:17:22,165

Quelques photos ?

273

00:17:22,541 --> 00:17:25,042

Regarde ça, Magnum.

On dirait un paparazzi obsédé.

274

00:17:25,167 --> 00:17:27,241

Il y a 200 photos du même couple.

275

00:17:27,366 --> 00:17:30,590

Je dirai rien sans mon avocat.

Bouclez-moi si vous voulez.

276

00:17:30,758 --> 00:17:31,716

Ne le dis pas.

277

00:17:33,401 --> 00:17:34,465

Merci.

278

00:17:35,137 --> 00:17:37,019

Si on vous boucle,

c'est pour meurtre.

279

00:17:37,144 --> 00:17:39,641

- De quoi vous parlez ?

- Jake Harris est mort.

280

00:17:39,995 --> 00:17:41,804

Ils ont trouvé son corps au Akahai.

281

00:17:54,370 --> 00:17:57,752

Son père est un vieil ami.

J'ai bossé près de 20 ans pour lui

282

00:17:57,877 --> 00:17:59,543

comme enquêteur attitré.

283

00:18:02,893 --> 00:18:04,290

Jake était de la famille.

284

00:18:04,714 --> 00:18:05,959

Nancy m'a sollicité.

285

00:18:06,455 --> 00:18:07,877

La mère de Jake ?

286

00:18:08,219 --> 00:18:11,224

Après les fiançailles,

elle m'a demandé de surveiller Erica.

287

00:18:11,349 --> 00:18:13,758

Quand ils sont partis,

elle m'a demandé de les retrouver.

288

00:18:14,175 --> 00:18:16,208

Depuis quand vous les suiviez ?

289

00:18:16,333 --> 00:18:19,127

J'étais là après le mariage.

Je les ai suivis toute la semaine,

290

00:18:19,817 --> 00:18:21,451

jusqu'à il y a deux jours.

291

00:18:21,948 --> 00:18:23,472

Pourquoi avoir arrêté ?

292

00:18:24,222 --> 00:18:25,103

Il m'a vu.

293

00:18:26,523 --> 00:18:29,149

Jake m'a vu et m'a ordonné d'arrêter,

ce que j'ai fait.

294

00:18:31,632 --> 00:18:33,810

Si j'avais été là,

j'aurais pu empêcher ça.

295

00:18:34,345 --> 00:18:37,166

J'ai une question.

Vous avez étudié Erica.

296

00:18:37,291 --> 00:18:39,367

Vous l'avez vue avec Jake.

297

00:18:39,492 --> 00:18:40,838

Elle était sincère ?

298

00:18:42,957 --> 00:18:45,786

C'est comme j'ai dit à Nancy.

J'en ai vu des croqueuses de diamants,

299

00:18:45,911 --> 00:18:47,528

mais Erica n'est pas comme ça.

300

00:18:48,507 --> 00:18:49,989

Elle aimait Jake.

301

00:18:50,880 --> 00:18:52,505

Il n'y a pas de doute.

302

00:19:08,979 --> 00:19:10,229

Je m'en occupe.

303

00:19:11,593 --> 00:19:12,593

Merci.

304

00:19:57,016 --> 00:19:59,495

Ma première semaine

après l'Académie,

305

00:20:00,092 --> 00:20:01,343

on a reçu un appel.

306

00:20:01,658 --> 00:20:03,027

Fusillade en voiture.

307

00:20:03,682 --> 00:20:07,038

Un gosse de 8 ans a été pris

dans les coups de feu.

308

00:20:07,206 --> 00:20:09,624

Et c'était à moi de dire à la mère

309

00:20:09,792 --> 00:20:11,451

que son fils était mort.

310

00:20:12,128 --> 00:20:15,187

Je me souviens de ce moment.

J'étais assis, à penser,

311

00:20:15,312 --> 00:20:18,026

"Ça doit forcément devenir plus facile."

Tu vois ?

312

00:20:18,151 --> 00:20:19,834

Mais ça n'arrive jamais.

313

00:20:21,866 --> 00:20:23,019

J'avais 16 ans.

314

00:20:24,390 --> 00:20:27,695

Ma mère était en retard pour le dîner.

Elle était jamais en retard.

315

00:20:28,664 --> 00:20:31,086

On a sonné à la porte

et dès que j'ai vu

316

00:20:31,211 --> 00:20:33,439

le visage de ce flic, je savais.

317

00:20:34,305 --> 00:20:37,235

- C'est arrivé comment ?

- Accident de voiture.

318

00:20:37,403 --> 00:20:40,459

Conducteur ivre. Mon père disait

qu'il était désolé pour le flic

319

00:20:40,584 --> 00:20:42,076

qui nous l'avait annoncé.

320

00:20:42,201 --> 00:20:44,284

Je comprenais pas

ce qu'il voulait dire,

321

00:20:45,169 --> 00:20:47,703

jusqu'au jour où j'ai dû le faire.

322

00:20:50,533 --> 00:20:52,792

J'imagine

que le jour où on s'y habitue

323

00:20:52,960 --> 00:20:54,991

c'est le jour où on démissionne.

324

00:20:59,440 --> 00:21:00,440

Radio ?

325

00:21:10,640 --> 00:21:11,811

T'es sérieux là ?

326

00:21:12,764 --> 00:21:13,778

Pourquoi ?

327

00:21:13,903 --> 00:21:16,466

Tu vas rien faire ?

Tu changes pas ça ?

328

00:21:16,591 --> 00:21:17,775

Qu'est-ce qui va pas ?

329

00:21:17,943 --> 00:21:19,748

Tu vas laisser ça ? Et rien faire ?

330

00:21:19,873 --> 00:21:21,475

- Elle est bien.

- Bien ?

331

00:21:21,600 --> 00:21:22,928

Très bien.

332

00:21:23,053 --> 00:21:26,769

Je sais, tu as été entraîné

à supporter la torture.

333

00:21:26,997 --> 00:21:29,465

Mais ça, c'est insupportable.

334

00:21:29,590 --> 00:21:31,289

C'est pas normal.

335

00:21:31,457 --> 00:21:34,148

Une chanson aussi mauvaise

donne envie aux gens normaux

336

00:21:34,273 --> 00:21:36,085

de tuer d'autres personnes.

Compris ?

337

00:21:40,986 --> 00:21:42,634

Je la trouve entraînante.

338

00:21:54,624 --> 00:21:56,867

On dirait qu'il torture un morse.

339

00:22:02,115 --> 00:22:03,183

Oui, bonjour.

340

00:22:04,142 --> 00:22:05,792

Il fait froid dans la pièce,

341

00:22:05,917 --> 00:22:08,086

la table d'harmonie se contracte,

342

00:22:08,211 --> 00:22:10,390

ce qui désaccorde le piano.

343

00:22:10,515 --> 00:22:12,771

J'avais un accordeur pour piano,

mais il aimait...

344

00:22:13,063 --> 00:22:15,583

discuter.

C'était émotionnellement exténuant...

345

00:22:17,449 --> 00:22:20,121

Vous avez les résultats

de l'autopsie de Jack Harris ?

346

00:22:20,246 --> 00:22:21,302

Je les ai.

347

00:22:22,052 --> 00:22:25,333

La cause du décès est l'asphyxie

résultant d'un étranglement.

348

00:22:25,458 --> 00:22:26,935

Pas de blessures défensives,

349

00:22:27,060 --> 00:22:29,278

aucun signe

que la victime ait tenté de se défendre.

350

00:22:29,403 --> 00:22:32,266

On a trouvé une bonbonne d'acétone.

On pense qu'il a été endormi.

351

00:22:32,434 --> 00:22:34,783

Ça irait dans le sens

des résultats toxico.

352

00:22:34,908 --> 00:22:37,188

Il avait un niveau élevé

de cétone dans le sang.

353

00:22:37,356 --> 00:22:38,993

On trouvera sûrement la même chose

354

00:22:39,118 --> 00:22:41,055

quand on aura les résultats d'Erica.

355

00:22:41,180 --> 00:22:44,206

- La femme a aussi été attaquée ?

- Elle a été enlevée à l'hôtel.

356

00:22:44,891 --> 00:22:47,198

- L'a-t-on amenée dans un lieu éloigné ?

- Oui.

357

00:22:47,695 --> 00:22:51,339

Laissez-moi deviner...

Ils étaient en lune de miel ?

358

00:22:52,037 --> 00:22:53,741

Comment vous savez tout ça ?

359

00:22:53,977 --> 00:22:55,685

Sur mon temps libre

360

00:22:55,867 --> 00:22:57,827

je contribue

à une communauté en ligne

361

00:22:57,952 --> 00:23:00,442

dédiée aux homicides non résolus.

362

00:23:00,754 --> 00:23:02,540

Tu travailles sur des cadavres

363

00:23:02,665 --> 00:23:04,395

et ton passe-temps

c'est les cadavres ?

364

00:23:04,520 --> 00:23:07,260

Je fais aussi des cornichons.

Je réutilise les bocaux du labo.

365

00:23:10,472 --> 00:23:11,305

Voilà.

366

00:23:13,433 --> 00:23:15,982

Il y a un an,

il y a eu une série d'homicides

367

00:23:16,107 --> 00:23:17,570

en Polynésie française.

368

00:23:17,695 --> 00:23:19,983

Tu penses qu'il y a un lien

avec l'affaire Harris ?

369

00:23:20,108 --> 00:23:22,650

Mode opératoire similaire.

Les victimes sont de jeunes mariés

370

00:23:22,818 --> 00:23:25,589

qui ont été drogués avant l'attaque,

371

00:23:25,714 --> 00:23:28,465

et dans chaque cas,

l'homme était asphyxié sur place.

372

00:23:28,835 --> 00:23:30,259

Et la femme ?

373

00:23:30,384 --> 00:23:32,702

Le tueur prend plus de temps

avec elle.

374

00:23:33,150 --> 00:23:37,096

Toutes ont été trouvées

entre 24 et 48 h après, mutilées.

375

00:23:37,609 --> 00:23:40,208

Les corps étaient jetés

dans des endroits isolés

376

00:23:40,877 --> 00:23:42,228

C'est notre gars.

377

00:23:42,999 --> 00:23:44,566

On a un tueur en série.

378

00:23:46,503 --> 00:23:49,052

Trois meurtres de couples

en 7 jours.

379

00:23:49,220 --> 00:23:53,014

Un à Bora-Bora, un à Huahine

et un autre à Moorea.

380

00:23:53,182 --> 00:23:54,740

Que des jeunes mariés.

381

00:23:54,865 --> 00:23:57,226

Le tueur de jeunes mariés.

Quelqu'un devrait lui dire

382

00:23:57,394 --> 00:24:00,021

que si les gens restent mariés

ils finissent par s'entretuer.

383

00:24:00,189 --> 00:24:03,357

Ça devient bizarre. Regardez ça.

Voilà Erica Harris.

384

00:24:03,918 --> 00:24:06,584

Et là, les trois autres femmes.

385

00:24:06,709 --> 00:24:08,917

Toutes du continent,

brunes aux yeux bleus.

386

00:24:09,042 --> 00:24:11,657

On sait qu'il a un type.{*bof, suggestion ? Mes souvenirs de Criminal Minds en VF sont trop lointains}

On pourra trouver sa prochaine victime.

387

00:24:11,825 --> 00:24:13,765

Et il y en aura une autre.

388

00:24:13,890 --> 00:24:15,661

La dernière fois,

il a fait trois morts.

389

00:24:15,829 --> 00:24:17,206

Ce gars est plutôt doué.

390

00:24:17,331 --> 00:24:20,333

Un meurtre, et avant qu'on trouve

les corps, il est sur une autre île.

391

00:24:20,501 --> 00:24:22,895

Donc il n'est peut-être plus à Oahu.

392

00:24:23,369 --> 00:24:25,213

- McGarrett.

- J'ai alerté

393

00:24:25,381 --> 00:24:27,316

toutes les agences de l'État.

394

00:24:27,441 --> 00:24:29,967

- J'ai envoyé toutes nos infos.

- C'était le HPD.

395

00:24:30,135 --> 00:24:31,719

Ils ont trouvé leur voiture.

396

00:24:43,001 --> 00:24:44,494

Rien dans le coffre.

397

00:24:45,400 --> 00:24:47,862

Le rétroviseur est remonté,

le siège reculé.

398

00:24:47,987 --> 00:24:50,321

Notre gars doit être grand...

environ 1m80.

399

00:24:50,489 --> 00:24:53,459

Si Erica était inconsciente,

il n'a pas pu l'emmener très loin.

400

00:24:53,584 --> 00:24:56,956

Elle était dans une pièce sombre,

sans savoir où elle était.

401

00:24:57,081 --> 00:24:59,827

Faut vérifier les entrepôts

et les avant-postes.

402

00:24:59,952 --> 00:25:03,100

J'ai besoin de tous vos hommes.

On commence ici, on ratisse les parages.

403

00:25:03,225 --> 00:25:06,835

Notre suspect pourrait toujours

être dans le coin, donc soyez attentifs.

404

00:25:06,960 --> 00:25:08,216

OK ? On y va.

405

00:25:09,062 --> 00:25:10,847

C'est les photos du privé ?

406

00:25:10,972 --> 00:25:13,719

Il suivait les Harris

depuis plus d'une semaine

407

00:25:13,887 --> 00:25:15,679

avec son appareil.

J'ai pensé

408

00:25:15,804 --> 00:25:17,974

qu'il n'était peut-être pas

le seul à les suivre.

409

00:25:18,142 --> 00:25:20,768

Les tueurs en série

repèrent leurs victimes à l'avance.

410

00:25:20,936 --> 00:25:23,387

J'ai mis les photos

dans le logiciel de reconnaissance.

411

00:25:23,512 --> 00:25:26,242

Rien dans la base de données

nationale.

412

00:25:26,367 --> 00:25:27,484

Et donc...

413

00:25:28,095 --> 00:25:30,323

J'ai cherché

dans les photos moi-même.

414

00:25:31,846 --> 00:25:33,505

T'as déjà joué à "Où est Charlie" ?

415

00:25:34,072 --> 00:25:36,737

- Regarde ça.

- Il est sur trois photos,

416

00:25:36,862 --> 00:25:39,464

chacune prise dans des endroits

et à des moments différents.

417

00:25:40,080 --> 00:25:41,914

- Une coïncidence ?

- C'en est pas une.

418

00:25:42,323 --> 00:25:44,500

T'as trouvé notre tueur en série.

419

00:25:55,012 --> 00:25:56,012

Par ici.

420

00:25:56,968 --> 00:25:58,246

Cette porte ?

421

00:25:59,709 --> 00:26:01,929

Il aurait pu

garder notre victime ici.

422

00:26:02,054 --> 00:26:04,567

OK, un, deux, trois, GO !

423

00:26:15,699 --> 00:26:17,388

- C'est bon ?

- RAS.

424

00:26:18,226 --> 00:26:20,494

Y a du sang sur cette corde.

425

00:26:20,662 --> 00:26:22,097

Viens voir ça.

426

00:26:26,069 --> 00:26:27,335

Charmant personnage.

427

00:26:27,503 --> 00:26:29,822

Il devait être populaire au lycée.

428

00:26:31,355 --> 00:26:32,506

J'ai de la morphine.

429

00:26:32,841 --> 00:26:34,213

Il devait les endormir avec.

430

00:26:34,338 --> 00:26:36,107

Il a pas utilisé une dose

assez forte.

431

00:26:36,232 --> 00:26:38,887

Morphine est une drogue surveillée.

432

00:26:39,012 --> 00:26:41,322

Ça veut dire

que chaque dose est traçable.

433

00:26:41,447 --> 00:26:42,934

Kono cherchera ça.

434

00:26:49,233 --> 00:26:50,524

T'as tracé le flacon ?

435

00:26:50,896 --> 00:26:52,867

Oui, grâce à la référence

de l'ordonnance.

436

00:26:53,153 --> 00:26:56,145

Ce flacon a été remis

au médecin en chef

437

00:26:56,270 --> 00:26:58,881

d'un bateau de croisière

de Pacific Dicovery, l'Eternity.

438

00:26:59,006 --> 00:27:01,869

Il a été volé de l'infirmerie

il y a deux jours.

439

00:27:02,037 --> 00:27:04,038

- Un bateau de croisière ?

- Tu penses quoi ?

440

00:27:04,206 --> 00:27:07,300

Les autres meurtres,

Bora-Bora, Huahine et Moorea...

441

00:27:07,425 --> 00:27:09,961

Ce sont des escales populaires

en Polynésie.

442

00:27:10,129 --> 00:27:11,940

Il voyage

sur des bateaux de croisières

443

00:27:12,065 --> 00:27:14,674

et il choisit ses victimes

quand le bateau est amarré.

444

00:27:14,842 --> 00:27:16,986

Je parie qu'il est sur l'Eternity

en ce moment.

445

00:27:17,521 --> 00:27:19,971

On a étudié les

meurtres de l'an dernier.

446

00:27:20,139 --> 00:27:23,072

Tous commis pendant

que le Star Polynesia était au port.

447

00:27:23,197 --> 00:27:24,934

C'est un bateau de croisière.

448

00:27:25,102 --> 00:27:26,727

Les dates et lieux correspondent.

449

00:27:26,895 --> 00:27:29,299

On sait comment il se déplaçait.

Sur ce bateau.

450

00:27:29,424 --> 00:27:30,982

Et la morphine que t'as trouvée ?

451

00:27:31,150 --> 00:27:33,776

Elle a été volée sur un bateau local,

l'Eternity.

452

00:27:33,944 --> 00:27:36,027

J'ai vérifié les passagers

des deux bateaux

453

00:27:36,152 --> 00:27:40,156

et un nom revient sur les deux.

Bradford Matinsky, 36 ans.

454

00:27:40,575 --> 00:27:42,910

Il a embarqué sur l'Eternity

il y a 4 jours.

455

00:27:43,078 --> 00:27:46,122

Et il correspond aux photos du privé.

C'est notre homme.

456

00:27:46,290 --> 00:27:48,990

- Où est ce bateau en ce moment ?

- À 15 km de Kauai...

457

00:27:49,115 --> 00:27:52,257

Il doit accoster dans moins d'une heure,

au lever du soleil.

458

00:27:52,463 --> 00:27:54,459

On cherche tous les moyens

de le garder à quai.

459

00:27:54,584 --> 00:27:57,231

Dîtes-leur que les douanes arrivent,

qu'il y a une bombe.

460

00:27:57,356 --> 00:28:00,919

Mettez le bateau en quarantaine

pour suspicion de peste noire.

461

00:28:01,044 --> 00:28:03,574

Je m'en fous.

Personne ne descend du bateau.

462

00:28:03,699 --> 00:28:04,682

Compris.

463

00:28:13,059 --> 00:28:14,291

Donne-moi ces deux-là.

464

00:28:17,195 --> 00:28:18,779

- Mets ça.

- Hors de question.

465

00:28:19,965 --> 00:28:23,582

On cherche un suspect dangereux

qui sait peut-être pas qu'on le cherche

466

00:28:23,707 --> 00:28:26,184

Faut pas l'effrayer, rester discrets.

Mets le collier.

467

00:28:26,309 --> 00:28:28,080

Me fais pas porter des fleurs.

468

00:28:28,248 --> 00:28:30,431

Danny, on a pas beaucoup de temps.

469

00:28:31,002 --> 00:28:33,210

Je vais le faire,

mais je vais pas être content.

470

00:28:33,378 --> 00:28:35,749

Et enlève la cravate.

Personne en porte en croisière.

471

00:28:35,874 --> 00:28:38,591

Oh que si, pour pouvoir se pendre

quand ils s'emmerdent.

472

00:28:38,759 --> 00:28:41,589

Mets-la dans ta poche,

tu te tueras après.

473

00:28:48,273 --> 00:28:50,140

Pont Kalia, cabine 226.

474

00:28:50,265 --> 00:28:52,305

Vérifiez que tout est désert

avant qu'on entre.

475

00:28:52,430 --> 00:28:54,556

Je veux pas

mettre les passagers en danger.

476

00:28:57,688 --> 00:28:59,978

Gardez tous ces gens éloignés.

477

00:29:12,223 --> 00:29:13,223

Prêt ?

478

00:29:13,982 --> 00:29:15,649

Un, deux...

479

00:29:29,205 --> 00:29:30,184

Il est pas là.

480

00:29:31,508 --> 00:29:33,739

Écoutez.

On est à quai depuis plus d'une heure.

481

00:29:33,864 --> 00:29:36,599

Notre suspect doit commencer

à être nerveux.

482

00:29:36,724 --> 00:29:39,026

On doit le trouver

le plus vite possible

483

00:29:39,194 --> 00:29:41,005

avant qu'il ne prenne le dessus.

484

00:29:41,130 --> 00:29:43,160

Regardez les photos.

485

00:29:43,285 --> 00:29:47,007

Il s'appelle Bradford Matinsky.

Il fait 1m83, 36 ans.

486

00:29:47,132 --> 00:29:49,761

Il est très dangereux

et sûrement armé.

487

00:29:49,886 --> 00:29:51,716

N'essayez par de l'appréhender.

488

00:29:51,841 --> 00:29:54,750

Si vous le voyez,

avertissez-moi par radio.

489

00:29:54,918 --> 00:29:57,433

D'accord, très bien, allez-y !

490

00:29:58,046 --> 00:29:59,666

Malheureusement, nous avons

491

00:29:59,791 --> 00:30:02,633

des problèmes mécaniques

avec la passerelle.

492

00:30:02,801 --> 00:30:05,386

Pour votre sécurité,

veuillez rester à bord

493

00:30:05,554 --> 00:30:06,816

jusqu'à nouvel ordre.

494

00:30:07,347 --> 00:30:09,390

Nous devrions

vous faire sortir bientôt.

495

00:30:16,324 --> 00:30:18,180

Danny, fouille ses bagages.

496

00:30:23,627 --> 00:30:26,366

On doit trouver

comment il les choisit.

497

00:30:28,278 --> 00:30:30,214

- Gagné.

- T'as quoi ?

498

00:30:34,875 --> 00:30:36,516

Alliances et bagues de fiançailles.

499

00:30:37,417 --> 00:30:40,514

Matinsky les a pris aux victimes.

Ce sont ses trophées.

500

00:30:40,639 --> 00:30:42,998

Ce mec est plus que dérangé.

501

00:30:43,123 --> 00:30:45,050

Je parie qu'il mange au buffet.

502

00:30:46,141 --> 00:30:47,887

Attends.

Regarde ça.

503

00:30:56,176 --> 00:30:57,563

Il a fait des recherches.

504

00:31:01,034 --> 00:31:03,444

Ça vient du système de réservation.

505

00:31:04,051 --> 00:31:06,119

C'est la liste de tous les clients

de l'hôtel.

506

00:31:06,244 --> 00:31:08,407

Jake Harris est entouré.

Comment il a eu ça ?

507

00:31:08,905 --> 00:31:12,620

Il a des itinéraires de voyage,

des cartes, des faire-parts de mariage.

508

00:31:15,207 --> 00:31:16,582

Elles se ressemblent toutes.

509

00:31:17,945 --> 00:31:20,303

Dans tous ces couples,

toutes les femmes.

510

00:31:22,521 --> 00:31:24,077

Il fait comme ça.

511

00:31:24,202 --> 00:31:26,906

Il fait comme ça.

Regarde, ce sont des couples.

512

00:31:27,031 --> 00:31:29,887

Il trouve des couples en lune miel

et les traque sur le net.

513

00:31:30,055 --> 00:31:32,162

Et trouve ceux qui lui plaisent.

514

00:31:32,935 --> 00:31:35,380

On a au moins quatre couples là.

515

00:31:35,505 --> 00:31:38,177

- Comment on trouve les prochains ?

- Je sais pas, choisis.

516

00:31:38,302 --> 00:31:39,635

Capitaine McGarrett.

517

00:31:42,552 --> 00:31:45,282

Capitaine McGarrett,

j'ai le suspect en visuel.

518

00:31:47,862 --> 00:31:49,532

Pont de l'Atrium, cage d'escalier.

519

00:31:49,700 --> 00:31:52,126

Bien reçu. Le serrez pas trop.

520

00:31:52,251 --> 00:31:53,996

On arrive tout de suite.

521

00:32:07,063 --> 00:32:08,175

Je l'ai toujours.

522

00:32:10,274 --> 00:32:12,137

Il va vers les cabines sur la...

523

00:32:25,152 --> 00:32:26,485

Je m'en occupe, va !

524

00:32:27,038 --> 00:32:28,696

- Ça va ?

- Il est allé par là.

525

00:32:34,036 --> 00:32:36,912

Retournez dans votre chambre.

Allez-y et fermez la porte.

526

00:33:13,784 --> 00:33:15,808

Les garde-côtes ont des plongeurs

dans l'eau.

527

00:33:15,933 --> 00:33:18,249

La police parcourt la rive.

Aucune trace de Matinsky.

528

00:33:18,622 --> 00:33:20,332

Il est parti.

La question c'est où !

529

00:33:20,457 --> 00:33:22,881

Il aurait pu partir

quand Erica s'est enfuie, mais non.

530

00:33:23,006 --> 00:33:25,590

- Il est retourné sur le bateau.

- Car c'est pas un coureur.

531

00:33:25,715 --> 00:33:28,396

Son envie de tuer domine

son instinct de préservation.

532

00:33:28,632 --> 00:33:30,899

Il a pas tué Erica,

il lui faut une remplaçante.

533

00:33:31,024 --> 00:33:32,760

J'ai regardé son dossier, écoute ça.

534

00:33:32,928 --> 00:33:34,472

Kristen et Elliott Clark.

535

00:33:34,597 --> 00:33:36,402

Ils se sont mariés il y a 4 jours.

536

00:33:36,527 --> 00:33:39,933

L'itinéraire dit qu'il sont à Kauai

pour une lune de miel

537

00:33:40,101 --> 00:33:42,561

- dans un hôtel au nom imprononçable.

- Le Hikina.

538

00:33:42,729 --> 00:33:44,454

C'est pas loin d'ici.

539

00:33:48,683 --> 00:33:50,517

On t'écoute,

le Super SEAL et moi.

540

00:33:50,642 --> 00:33:51,654

Vas-y.

541

00:33:51,822 --> 00:33:55,491

J'ai creusé un peu plus le passé

de notre Bradford Matinsky.

542

00:33:55,659 --> 00:33:57,200

Il est en réalité informaticien

543

00:33:57,325 --> 00:34:00,621

- pour des ingénieurs dans le Michigan.

- Ça explique ses compétences.

544

00:34:00,789 --> 00:34:03,499

Il y a deux ans,

il était fiancé à Natalie Hayes.

545

00:34:03,896 --> 00:34:06,335

Ils préparaient un mariage

sur une plage à la Barbade.

546

00:34:07,045 --> 00:34:09,339

Laisse-moi deviner.

Elle a changé d'avis.

547

00:34:09,464 --> 00:34:12,465

Il l'a très mal pris.

Il a démissionné.

548

00:34:12,590 --> 00:34:15,171

Deux mois plus tard,

Natalie Hayes disparaît.

549

00:34:15,405 --> 00:34:16,713

Surprise, surprise.

550

00:34:16,838 --> 00:34:18,931

- Matinsky a été accusé ?

- Non. Il était suspect

551

00:34:19,528 --> 00:34:21,475

mais il n'a jamais été accusé.

552

00:34:21,643 --> 00:34:23,095

L'affaire est encore ouverte.

553

00:34:23,603 --> 00:34:25,142

Ce barjo tue sa fiancée.

554

00:34:25,267 --> 00:34:28,335

Et là il se fait un trip

de vengeance sadique.

555

00:34:28,460 --> 00:34:30,409

Exactement.

Les dates des meurtres coïncident

556

00:34:30,534 --> 00:34:32,966

parfaitement

avec la date du mariage.

557

00:34:33,091 --> 00:34:35,030

Le mariage a été annulé

en décembre 2008.

558

00:34:35,198 --> 00:34:37,408

Les meurtres en Polynésie

remontent à décembre 2009.

559

00:34:37,576 --> 00:34:39,226

Un an plus tard, c'est reparti.

560

00:34:44,038 --> 00:34:45,038

Merde.

561

00:34:45,438 --> 00:34:47,000

Je le croyais éteint.

562

00:34:47,377 --> 00:34:49,753

Trésor, tu as détruit mon Zen.

563

00:34:50,099 --> 00:34:52,192

Désolée. C'est un numéro caché.

564

00:34:52,830 --> 00:34:55,092

- Fais pas ça.

- C'est peut-être mes parents.

565

00:34:55,260 --> 00:34:56,260

Justement.

566

00:34:57,393 --> 00:34:58,408

Allô ?

567

00:34:58,533 --> 00:35:01,238

Aloha, Mme Clark.

C'est Jonathan de l'accueil.

568

00:35:01,363 --> 00:35:04,545

Désolé de vous déranger

mais vous avez un appel à la réception.

569

00:35:05,214 --> 00:35:07,688

Je suis en plein massage.

C'est à quel propos ?

570

00:35:07,856 --> 00:35:10,634

Je n'en sais rien, mais ils ont parlé

d'une urgence familiale.

571

00:35:10,759 --> 00:35:12,359

Mon Dieu. D'accord.

572

00:35:12,527 --> 00:35:13,773

J'arrive tout de suite.

573

00:35:13,898 --> 00:35:16,822

Il y a un téléphone

au 2e étage, au bout du couloir.

574

00:35:17,407 --> 00:35:20,325

- Je peux transférer là-bas.

- Merci, j'arrive.

575

00:35:27,197 --> 00:35:29,168

J'ai pas réussi à joindre les Clark.

576

00:35:29,336 --> 00:35:31,962

On arrive dans 10 minutes.

On doit les trouver.

577

00:35:32,130 --> 00:35:33,547

Préviens la sécurité.

578

00:35:37,469 --> 00:35:38,585

Ce n'est pas là.

579

00:35:38,710 --> 00:35:40,538

Il a dit qu'il y avait un téléphone.

580

00:35:40,663 --> 00:35:41,847

Je t'ai dit de...

581

00:36:11,670 --> 00:36:13,170

C'est lui, juste là.

582

00:36:13,338 --> 00:36:14,946

- C'était lui ?

- Oui.

583

00:36:31,082 --> 00:36:32,326

Relax !

584

00:36:41,616 --> 00:36:43,242

Allez, plus vite.

585

00:37:03,645 --> 00:37:04,638

Très bien.

586

00:37:04,967 --> 00:37:07,182

18 mai 1996.

587

00:37:07,593 --> 00:37:09,799

- C'est quoi ?

- La dernière fois que j'ai vomi.

588

00:37:09,924 --> 00:37:11,849

Ne fiche pas mon record par terre.

589

00:37:11,974 --> 00:37:13,730

Tu vomiras pas.

Ça non.

590

00:37:18,278 --> 00:37:20,904

Si t'es malade, ouvre la fenêtre.

C'est une location.

591

00:37:35,253 --> 00:37:37,131

Camion, camion, camion !

592

00:37:43,782 --> 00:37:45,596

- Attrape-le.

- Je le tiens.

593

00:38:14,943 --> 00:38:17,272

- Il a Kristen.

- Allons-y !

594

00:38:28,716 --> 00:38:29,765

Lâche ton arme.

595

00:38:30,651 --> 00:38:31,897

Reculez.

596

00:38:32,022 --> 00:38:33,365

Je vous préviens.

597

00:38:33,978 --> 00:38:34,937

Ne bougez pas.

598

00:38:35,716 --> 00:38:36,946

Baissez vos armes.

599

00:38:37,316 --> 00:38:40,275

Lâche ton arme et laisse-la partir,

s'il te plaît.

600

00:38:40,443 --> 00:38:43,111

- Je fais ça, je vais en prison.

- Tu le fais pas, t'es mort.

601

00:38:44,132 --> 00:38:45,318

Elle aussi.

602

00:38:45,949 --> 00:38:47,109

Écoute-moi.

603

00:38:48,672 --> 00:38:50,631

On sait pour ta fiancée.

604

00:38:50,756 --> 00:38:53,205

On sait

qu'elle t'a largué devant l'autel

605

00:38:53,373 --> 00:38:54,819

devant ta famille.

606

00:38:56,023 --> 00:38:57,785

On sait que c'est douloureux.

607

00:38:59,283 --> 00:39:01,004

Vous savez rien.

608

00:39:01,172 --> 00:39:03,012

Je le sais.

Je sais ce que ça fait

609

00:39:03,137 --> 00:39:05,242

d'être abandonné

par celle qu'on aime.

610

00:39:05,712 --> 00:39:07,331

- Tu fais quoi ?

- Quoi ?

611

00:39:07,456 --> 00:39:09,554

Tu fais quoi là ?

Ce mec est un psychopathe.

612

00:39:09,722 --> 00:39:11,431

Tu veux être son ami ?

613

00:39:11,599 --> 00:39:12,641

Il est juste là.

614

00:39:12,809 --> 00:39:14,857

Je le vois bien,

mais t'es un flic.

615

00:39:14,982 --> 00:39:17,136

- T'es pas un thérapeute.

- Je suis entraîné

616

00:39:17,261 --> 00:39:18,892

pour ce genre de choses.

617

00:39:19,017 --> 00:39:20,732

Ennuyer les gens

pour qu'ils se rendent ?

618

00:39:21,313 --> 00:39:24,403

L'écoute pas, d'accord ?

Son sens de la communication

619

00:39:24,571 --> 00:39:27,249

c'est de sortir une réplique marrante

puis de tirer dans la tête.

620

00:39:28,199 --> 00:39:30,367

Je devrais le tuer

pour pas qu'il t'entende.

621

00:39:30,535 --> 00:39:32,953

Je fais mon truc, tu fais le tien.

622

00:39:39,335 --> 00:39:41,920

Matinsky, lâche le couteau.

C'est fini.

623

00:39:51,018 --> 00:39:52,393

C'est terminé.

624

00:39:52,518 --> 00:39:54,621

Venez par là.

Vous êtes sauvée.

625

00:39:55,720 --> 00:39:56,976

Ça va ?

626

00:40:13,369 --> 00:40:15,366

Je ne sais pas si je peux le faire.

627

00:40:16,406 --> 00:40:18,451

Je pense pas que vous ayez le choix.

628

00:40:19,347 --> 00:40:21,738

Vous avez accusé votre belle-fille

de choses terribles.

629

00:40:21,863 --> 00:40:24,167

Elle a toutes les raisons

de vous haïr,

630

00:40:24,905 --> 00:40:26,553

mais elle a besoin de vous.

631

00:40:27,979 --> 00:40:29,528

Vous l'aimiez, toutes les deux.

632

00:40:30,435 --> 00:40:34,029

Malgré tout, vous êtes une famille.

Ça devrait avoir un sens.

633

00:40:34,657 --> 00:40:36,850

Vous pensez qu'elle me pardonnera ?

634

00:40:38,000 --> 00:40:39,895

Si vous n'essayez pas,

on ne saura jamais.

635

00:40:47,130 --> 00:40:48,873

Prenez votre temps.

636

00:41:07,215 --> 00:41:08,915

- T'as une minute ?

- Oui.

637

00:41:12,718 --> 00:41:15,204

Mon ami

aux archives du HPD m'a rappelé.

638

00:41:15,329 --> 00:41:17,641

Il a cherché le numéro

que ton père avait écrit.

639

00:41:18,710 --> 00:41:20,852

- Et ?

- Le dossier a disparu.

640

00:41:21,663 --> 00:41:24,022

- Soit il a été perdu...

- Ou quelqu'un l'a volé ?

641

00:41:25,566 --> 00:41:28,388

J'ai eu des infos

grâce au seul numéro.

642

00:41:30,601 --> 00:41:33,415

L'affaire a été ouverte

le 19 avril 1992.

643

00:41:37,064 --> 00:41:38,114

C'était...

644

00:41:38,490 --> 00:41:41,123

Le jour où ma mère a eu son accident,

où elle morte.

645

00:41:46,021 --> 00:41:49,172

Pourquoi quelqu'un volerait

le rapport d'accident de ma mère ?

646

00:41:49,753 --> 00:41:52,759

Parce que visiblement,

ce n'était pas un accident.

647

00:41:53,313 --> 00:41:54,511

De quoi tu parles ?

648

00:41:55,526 --> 00:41:56,926

C'était un meurtre.

649

00:42:02,425 --> 00:42:04,957

Tu dis

que ma mère a été assassinée ?

650

00:42:06,390 --> 00:42:08,567

C'est ce que ton père

cherchait à savoir.

It's over there.

Help me.

00:02:22,809 --> 00:02:24,359
Not bad for your first time.

9
00:02:24,756 --> 00:02:25,900
I could've kept going.

10
00:02:26,665 --> 00:02:28,053
First rule of spearfishing is:

11
00:02:28,054 --> 00:02:29,857
you kill what you eat,
you eat what you kill.

12
00:02:29,858 --> 00:02:31,664
Well, guess what's
for lunch today.

13
00:02:33,636 --> 00:02:36,243
You know, your dad took me
fishing a couple of times.

14
00:02:36,494 --> 00:02:38,791
He and some of the vets would
rent a boat for the day.

15
00:02:38,792 --> 00:02:40,034
Where, in Kailua Bay?

16
00:02:40,287 --> 00:02:42,368
Yeah. Oh, man,
when I was a kid, I always

17
00:02:42,369 --> 00:02:43,355
wanted him to take me.

18
00:02:43,356 --> 00:02:44,830
It was back when I was a rookie,

19
00:02:44,831 --> 00:02:46,365
very eager to impress.

20
00:02:46,366 --> 00:02:47,806
Took me five minutes to realize

21
00:02:47,807 --> 00:02:50,044
it was less about the fishing,
more about the drinking.

22
00:02:50,045 --> 00:02:51,290
Yeah, that was my dad.

23
00:02:51,879 --> 00:02:52,888
I'll tell you, though,

24
00:02:53,127 --> 00:02:54,552
he had some great stories.

25
00:02:57,380 --> 00:02:58,748
I want to show you something.

26
00:03:03,222 --> 00:03:03,978
One of the last things

27
00:03:03,979 --> 00:03:05,930
my father said to me
before he was killed...

28
00:03:05,931 --> 00:03:07,570
it didn't make sense at the time...

29
00:03:09,663 --> 00:03:11,180
but he called me "Champ."

30
00:03:11,890 --> 00:03:13,955
My entire life,
he's never once called me that.

31
00:03:14,974 --> 00:03:17,838
It's got to be a clue...
He wanted you to find it.

32
00:03:18,873 --> 00:03:20,703
All this stuff was inside.

33
00:03:21,797 --> 00:03:24,317
The postcards are
from Osaka, Japan.

34
00:03:24,318 --> 00:03:26,974
I got two names off of them,
both former Yakuza lieutenants,

35
00:03:26,975 --> 00:03:28,135
now deceased.

36
00:03:29,040 --> 00:03:30,197
They're photos of a car.

37
00:03:30,198 --> 00:03:32,106
Looks like the
result of a car bomb.

38
00:03:32,897 --> 00:03:35,354
I got an unmarked key.
Looks like a furniture key.

39
00:03:35,355 --> 00:03:38,056
Right. And I've tried every
single lock in this entire house.

40
00:03:38,057 --> 00:03:39,607
I even tracked down
my dad's old desk

41
00:03:39,608 --> 00:03:41,502
from the HPD... Nothing fits.

42
00:03:41,503 --> 00:03:42,801
This number right here,
I've been trying

43
00:03:42,802 --> 00:03:44,437
to match this number
to bank accounts

44
00:03:44,438 --> 00:03:46,312
passports,
social security numbers.

45
00:03:46,313 --> 00:03:47,394
Nothing, nothing comes up.

46
00:03:47,395 --> 00:03:49,406
Look, you were his partner
when he retired, Chin.

47
00:03:49,407 --> 00:03:50,987
Does any of this
make sense to you?

48
00:03:51,644 --> 00:03:52,891
I think this is a case number.

49
00:03:52,892 --> 00:03:54,485
No, I considered that...
It doesn't match HPD's

50
00:03:54,486 --> 00:03:56,115
filing format.
No, no, no. Back when

51
00:03:56,116 --> 00:03:58,146
everything was logged manually,
they used this format

52
00:03:58,147 --> 00:03:59,045
for police reports.

53
00:03:59,046 --> 00:04:00,357
Now it's all done electronically.

54
00:04:00,358 --> 00:04:01,455
Well, if this is a case file,

55
00:04:01,456 --> 00:04:02,549
can you get your hands on it?

56
00:04:02,550 --> 00:04:05,406
Well, I know someone
back at the archives.

57
00:04:05,583 --> 00:04:07,971
He's probably the only guy on
the force that'll take my call,

58
00:04:07,972 --> 00:04:10,495
but... yeah, I'll reach out.

59
00:04:11,140 --> 00:04:12,037
Thanks.

60
00:04:16,120 --> 00:04:16,914
That's us.

61
00:04:22,772 --> 00:04:25,643
All right, if you could escort
them out, it'd be great.

62
00:04:25,644 --> 00:04:26,496
Shoots.

63
00:04:27,850 --> 00:04:30,293
So, vic's name is Erica Harris.

64
00:04:30,294 --> 00:04:32,348
She's 26, and she's
here on her honeymoon.

65
00:04:32,349 --> 00:04:33,828
They found her in
Kahana State Park

66
00:04:33,829 --> 00:04:35,158
wearing nothing but a nightie.

67
00:04:35,159 --> 00:04:36,416
Totally disoriented.

68
00:04:36,417 --> 00:04:38,947
She was suffering from
dehydration and exposure.

69
00:04:38,948 --> 00:04:40,099
Any signs of assault?

70
00:04:40,100 --> 00:04:41,478
No sexual trauma,
but she does have

71
00:04:41,479 --> 00:04:44,109
some minor injuries,
including defensive bruising.

72
00:04:44,110 --> 00:04:46,350
Looks like a possible
abduction case.

73
00:04:46,351 --> 00:04:49,107
Possible abduction? Either
you're abducted or you're not.

74
00:04:49,108 --> 00:04:51,402
The thing is, she doesn't
actually remember being taken.

75
00:04:51,403 --> 00:04:53,349
HPD tried to get a
statement from her,

76
00:04:53,350 --> 00:04:54,981
but she doesn't even
know how she ended up

77
00:04:54,982 --> 00:04:57,607
in the middle of the forest
20 miles away from her hotel.

78
00:04:57,608 --> 00:05:00,405
Have we ruled out the obvious,
like psychiatric disorders,

79
00:05:00,406 --> 00:05:03,271
sleepwalking, I don't know,
a hard night of partying?

80
00:05:03,272 --> 00:05:04,747
Yeah, thank you very much.

81
00:05:04,748 --> 00:05:07,230
Yeah, I have definitely heard
wilder drinking stories

82
00:05:07,231 --> 00:05:08,649
than ending up half
naked in the forest,

83
00:05:08,650 --> 00:05:10,228
but her blood alcohol is normal.

84
00:05:10,229 --> 00:05:11,746
Yeah, we're still waiting
on her tox panel.

85
00:05:11,747 --> 00:05:13,280
Medical history's clean, though.

86
00:05:13,281 --> 00:05:14,532
What about the husband,
he see anything?

87
00:05:14,533 --> 00:05:16,728
His name is Jake Harris,
and he's nowhere to be found.

88
00:05:16,729 --> 00:05:18,180
Which means he might be a suspect.

89
00:05:18,181 --> 00:05:19,382
Or a victim.

90
00:05:20,960 --> 00:05:23,038
I-I don't understand.

91
00:05:23,039 --> 00:05:23,824
I mean...

92
00:05:25,066 --> 00:05:26,697
why would somebody do this to us?

93
00:05:26,698 --> 00:05:28,291
Why would they take Jake?

94
00:05:28,711 --> 00:05:30,587
Look, I know this is hard,
but, um...

95
00:05:31,400 --> 00:05:33,679
I need you to try to tell
us what happened last night.

96
00:05:35,304 --> 00:05:36,098
Um...

97
00:05:37,987 --> 00:05:39,547
After dinner, we, um...

98
00:05:41,059 --> 00:05:43,619
we went for a long
walk along the beach.

99
00:05:44,061 --> 00:05:46,611
We got back to our hotel
room around 10:30...

100
00:05:47,582 --> 00:05:48,535
went to sleep.

101
00:05:49,562 --> 00:05:50,413
I woke up.

102
00:05:51,677 --> 00:05:54,531
It was dark and cold.

103
00:05:55,255 --> 00:05:56,332
You were in the forest?

104
00:05:57,517 --> 00:05:59,245
No, it was inside a room.

105
00:06:00,667 --> 00:06:02,957
Inside a room but
not your hotel room.

106
00:06:04,806 --> 00:06:06,637
Was anybody in the room with you?

107
00:06:08,394 --> 00:06:09,505
I'm not sure.

108
00:06:10,611 --> 00:06:11,718
It was really dark.

109
00:06:11,719 --> 00:06:12,549
It's okay.

110
00:06:13,733 --> 00:06:15,799
You said your hands
and feet were tied.

111
00:06:16,467 --> 00:06:17,702
How did you free yourself?

112
00:06:18,930 --> 00:06:19,974
I don't know.

113
00:06:21,811 --> 00:06:22,736
It was all really foggy.

114
00:06:22,737 --> 00:06:23,649
It...

115
00:06:25,790 --> 00:06:26,923
I just remember...

116
00:06:28,130 --> 00:06:29,600
running through the woods,

117
00:06:30,706 --> 00:06:31,883
and I kept thinking...

118
00:06:33,069 --> 00:06:34,022
"Don't stop.

119
00:06:35,105 --> 00:06:36,114
Just keep going."

120
00:06:37,939 --> 00:06:39,127
So that's what I did.

121
00:06:42,619 --> 00:06:43,718
What happened after that?

122
00:06:44,141 --> 00:06:45,352
That's all I remember.

123
00:06:45,852 --> 00:06:49,073
Okay, um, listen,
we're gonna let you rest.

124
00:06:49,074 --> 00:06:52,757
Okay? I know this has been really
hard for you, so just try to relax.

125
00:06:52,758 --> 00:06:53,488
Come on.

126
00:06:56,030 --> 00:06:57,355
Okay, why'd you cut that short?

127
00:06:57,356 --> 00:06:59,754
Because I have interviewed
enough victims to know

128
00:06:59,755 --> 00:07:01,718
when to back off.
Danny, she's not just a victim,

129
00:07:01,719 --> 00:07:03,559
she's a witness, and the
information we get from her

130
00:07:03,560 --> 00:07:04,725
could help find her husband.

131
00:07:04,726 --> 00:07:06,167
She can't tell us something
she doesn't know.

132
00:07:06,168 --> 00:07:08,707
All right? It's called
trauma-induced amnesia.

133
00:07:08,708 --> 00:07:11,600
Okay? A person's in shock,
they suppress memories.

134
00:07:11,601 --> 00:07:13,568
Tell me where my son is.
Erica's mother-in-law,

135
00:07:13,569 --> 00:07:15,304
Nancy Harris, just flew
in from San Francisco.

136
00:07:15,305 --> 00:07:17,801
I want to know what
happened to my son.

137
00:07:17,802 --> 00:07:19,179
Just where is he? Ms. Harris,

138
00:07:19,180 --> 00:07:21,445
I'm Lieutenant Commander
Steve McGarrett with Five-O.

139
00:07:21,446 --> 00:07:22,813
My unit is handling this case.

140
00:07:22,814 --> 00:07:25,764
Okay, we are putting all of our
resources into finding your son.

141
00:07:25,946 --> 00:07:27,721
I'd like to talk to
my daughter-in-law.

142
00:07:27,722 --> 00:07:30,758
Erica's fine, okay? She's being
treated for her injuries right now.

143
00:07:30,759 --> 00:07:31,991
No, you don't understand.

144
00:07:31,992 --> 00:07:33,731
Erica is no victim.

145
00:07:33,882 --> 00:07:36,926
If something happened to my son,
she's responsible.

146
00:07:51,252 --> 00:07:53,241
Jake and Erica met six months ago,

147
00:07:53,242 --> 00:07:55,667
and three weeks later,
they were engaged.

148
00:07:55,689 --> 00:07:58,168
So you don't believe in love
at first sight? Well, Jake

149
00:07:58,169 --> 00:07:59,522
has never been the impulsive type,

150
00:07:59,523 --> 00:08:02,313
so it concerned me to see
him act so recklessly.

151
00:08:02,314 --> 00:08:05,336
Nevertheless, I decided
to give them my blessing,

152
00:08:06,015 --> 00:08:08,508
provided they sign a
prenuptial agreement.

153
00:08:08,748 --> 00:08:10,030
So Jake had some money?

154
00:08:10,031 --> 00:08:11,375
Jake is a managing partner

155
00:08:11,376 --> 00:08:13,625
at Harris, Axelrod and Price.

156
00:08:13,626 --> 00:08:15,965
It's the law firm that
my late husband founded.

157
00:08:15,966 --> 00:08:17,796
So I guess they didn't
sign the prenup, huh?

158
00:08:17,797 --> 00:08:20,787
No. No, and after I suggested it,

159
00:08:20,788 --> 00:08:22,688
he stopped returning
my phone calls,

160
00:08:22,689 --> 00:08:24,137
I couldn't reach
him at the office,

161
00:08:24,138 --> 00:08:26,237
and then... I found out that

162
00:08:26,238 --> 00:08:28,268
they ran off to Hawaii.

163
00:08:29,273 --> 00:08:30,472
It was Erica.

164
00:08:31,005 --> 00:08:31,938
I am sure of it.

165
00:08:31,939 --> 00:08:34,308
She targeted my son for his money.

166
00:08:34,559 --> 00:08:37,777
She rushed him into marriage,
she manipulated him.

167
00:08:37,778 --> 00:08:39,845
Jake has a vast fortune.

168
00:08:39,846 --> 00:08:42,927
All she has is a spotty
past and a lot of debt.

169
00:08:42,928 --> 00:08:44,019
How do you know that?

170
00:08:44,020 --> 00:08:45,647
'Cause I did my homework.

171
00:08:45,874 --> 00:08:48,021
Now, I trust that
you will do yours.

172
00:08:49,453 --> 00:08:50,303
Please...

173
00:08:50,825 --> 00:08:51,778
find my son.

174
00:08:56,599 --> 00:08:58,097
Mother-in-laws.

175
00:08:58,370 --> 00:09:00,470
I take it you didn't have a
good relationship with yours.

176
00:09:00,471 --> 00:09:02,533
No, not really.
She lives in Manchester.

177
00:09:02,534 --> 00:09:03,860
She came to visit once...

178
00:09:03,861 --> 00:09:06,199
It was the longest and
worst 48 hours of my life.

179
00:09:06,200 --> 00:09:07,517
Wait a minute,
your mother-in-law came

180
00:09:07,518 --> 00:09:09,566
all the way from England
and stayed for two days?

181
00:09:09,567 --> 00:09:12,709
No, no, I checked her into the
Holiday Inn after two days.

182
00:09:12,960 --> 00:09:13,954
It was me or her, babe.

183
00:09:15,183 --> 00:09:16,252
Guys, what do we know?

184
00:09:16,253 --> 00:09:18,118
We ran background
on our newlyweds.

185
00:09:18,119 --> 00:09:20,546
Erica Harris, born Erica Wells,

186
00:09:20,775 --> 00:09:22,453
Jacksonville, 1984.

187
00:09:22,454 --> 00:09:24,950
Since then, she bounced around
the country taking dead-end jobs

188
00:09:24,951 --> 00:09:27,314
and amassing over a hundred
grand in debt. Six months ago

189
00:09:27,315 --> 00:09:29,841
she lands in San Francisco and
lands temp work at a law firm

190
00:09:29,842 --> 00:09:31,192
where she meets her husband,

191
00:09:31,454 --> 00:09:32,893
Jacob Harris.

192
00:09:33,185 --> 00:09:34,618
Wow, look at that guy.

193
00:09:34,619 --> 00:09:37,078
- She obviously married him for his looks.
- Love is blind.

194
00:09:37,079 --> 00:09:38,012
It's not that blind.

195
00:09:38,013 --> 00:09:39,249
Okay, so evidently,

196
00:09:39,250 --> 00:09:41,852
you, Danny, are down with the,
uh, mother-in-law's

197
00:09:41,853 --> 00:09:42,847
gold digger theory.

198
00:09:42,848 --> 00:09:45,182
She gets a temp job at a law firm,

199
00:09:45,183 --> 00:09:48,067
and six months later she is
married to the senior partner,

200
00:09:48,068 --> 00:09:49,889
so yes. It could be
she targeted him.

201
00:09:49,890 --> 00:09:52,051
Okay, so the debt gives
her financial motive

202
00:09:52,052 --> 00:09:54,331
and might be why she
wants to get rid

203
00:09:54,332 --> 00:09:56,242
of her husband,
but stage her own abduction?

204
00:09:56,243 --> 00:09:58,715
So she looks like a victim
instead of a suspect.

205
00:09:58,909 --> 00:10:01,469
And it keeps us busy looking
for someone who doesn't exist.

206
00:10:02,249 --> 00:10:03,910
Hotel security reported no signs

207
00:10:03,911 --> 00:10:05,534
of forced entry at
the honeymoon suite,

208
00:10:05,535 --> 00:10:07,003
and the room wasn't
accessed by key card.

209
00:10:07,004 --> 00:10:08,803
Okay, so we got two
people that get grabbed

210
00:10:08,804 --> 00:10:10,996
from their hotel room in the
middle of the night, and we have

211
00:10:10,997 --> 00:10:12,617
no idea how the
abductor got in or out.

212
00:10:12,618 --> 00:10:14,260
We know that the couple's
rental car was taken

213
00:10:14,261 --> 00:10:16,431
from the south parking
structure at 2:30 a.M.

214
00:10:16,432 --> 00:10:18,594
I also pulled the call log
from the hotel room phone.

215
00:10:18,609 --> 00:10:20,537
Nothing out of the ordinary there.

216
00:10:20,538 --> 00:10:22,860
But... the night
they were abducted,

217
00:10:22,861 --> 00:10:24,073
there were five calls

218
00:10:24,074 --> 00:10:26,901
placed from Erica's cell phone
to the same local number.

219
00:10:27,086 --> 00:10:28,900
Pagoda Hotel, Waikiki.

220
00:10:28,901 --> 00:10:33,470
All right, so if she did clip her husband,
maybe she had an accomplice.

221
00:10:35,995 --> 00:10:39,041
I don't know anything
about a Pagoda Hotel.

222
00:10:39,427 --> 00:10:41,626
I certainly didn't
make any calls to it.

223
00:10:41,627 --> 00:10:43,295
Okay, so how do you
explain the five calls

224
00:10:43,296 --> 00:10:45,599
from your cell phone to the
front desk there yesterday?

225
00:10:46,109 --> 00:10:47,185
I don't know.

226
00:10:50,001 --> 00:10:52,114
Maybe Jake borrowed my phone.

227
00:10:52,115 --> 00:10:53,991
He forget to bring
his cell charger.

228
00:10:54,883 --> 00:10:57,420
Yeah, from what we hear,
you had to pack in a hurry.

229
00:11:01,018 --> 00:11:02,466
You spoke to Jake's mother.

230
00:11:04,043 --> 00:11:05,488
Look, I know what
she thinks of me,

231
00:11:05,489 --> 00:11:07,370
but I didn't marry
Jake for his money.

232
00:11:07,602 --> 00:11:09,704
Is it true that you wouldn't
sign a prenuptial agreement?

233
00:11:09,705 --> 00:11:10,634
No.

234
00:11:11,525 --> 00:11:13,424
No. I was willing
to sign the prenup.

235
00:11:13,776 --> 00:11:15,282
Jake was the one who refused.

236
00:11:15,283 --> 00:11:17,360
He didn't want to give
his mother the victory.

237
00:11:17,705 --> 00:11:18,992
That's why we came here.

238
00:11:18,993 --> 00:11:20,214
To get away from her.

239
00:11:21,111 --> 00:11:22,637
The woman is toxic.

240
00:11:28,467 --> 00:11:31,612
Wait. You think that I would
do something to hurt Jake?

241
00:11:31,776 --> 00:11:33,117
We're not saying that, okay?

242
00:11:33,118 --> 00:11:34,139
But you need to understand

243
00:11:34,140 --> 00:11:35,922
you're our only witness
in this investigation.

244
00:11:35,923 --> 00:11:36,854
Yeah, and unfortunately,

245
00:11:36,855 --> 00:11:38,802
that does make you a
person of interest.

246
00:11:39,830 --> 00:11:41,423
We just got married.

247
00:11:42,036 --> 00:11:43,178
This is our honeymoon.

248
00:11:43,847 --> 00:11:45,059
Now Jake is missing.

249
00:11:45,060 --> 00:11:47,231
I-I can't even go
back to our hotel room

250
00:11:47,232 --> 00:11:48,368
because it's a crime scene.

251
00:11:48,369 --> 00:11:50,678
Listen, why don't you let us
set you up in a hotel room

252
00:11:50,679 --> 00:11:52,279
with an HPD detail?

253
00:11:52,766 --> 00:11:54,630
Why? So you can keep an eye on me?

254
00:12:16,362 --> 00:12:19,715
This room alone is bigger
than my whole apartment.

255
00:12:19,716 --> 00:12:21,686
The trunk of my car is
bigger than your apartment.

256
00:12:21,687 --> 00:12:23,013
Oh, thanks for reminding me.

257
00:12:24,169 --> 00:12:26,967
So this is what
$5,500 a night buys.

258
00:12:30,142 --> 00:12:31,795
You know, I'm probably
biased 'cause I'm local,

259
00:12:31,796 --> 00:12:35,332
but I can't imagine a
honeymoon spot less exotic

260
00:12:35,333 --> 00:12:36,493
than a Waikiki hotel

261
00:12:36,494 --> 00:12:38,125
with a ukulele band in the lobby.

262
00:12:38,126 --> 00:12:40,025
Why? Where do you want to
go when you get married?

263
00:12:40,026 --> 00:12:41,542
Cleveland? Ha.

264
00:12:42,525 --> 00:12:43,802
If I get married,

265
00:12:43,803 --> 00:12:47,028
it'll probably be somewhere
with cobblestone.

266
00:12:47,029 --> 00:12:49,322
Like Prague or Brussels.

267
00:12:49,323 --> 00:12:50,501
Ooh. Fancy.

268
00:12:51,221 --> 00:12:53,197
Malia and I were
gonna go to Lanai.

269
00:12:53,493 --> 00:12:56,065
That's the furthest I could
take her on a cop's salary.

270
00:12:56,269 --> 00:12:57,986
Yeah. She didn't
even deserve that.

271
00:12:58,915 --> 00:13:01,611
Hey. Easy to judge
from a distance.

272
00:13:02,188 --> 00:13:03,000
It wasn't so simple.

273
00:13:03,001 --> 00:13:04,419
Sorry. It's just...

274
00:13:05,453 --> 00:13:07,583
If you want to forgive
her for abandoning you

275
00:13:07,584 --> 00:13:09,331
when you needed her most,
that's fine.

276
00:13:09,332 --> 00:13:11,049
But I sure as hell don't have to.

277
00:13:17,470 --> 00:13:18,456
Hey, cuz.

278
00:13:19,362 --> 00:13:20,166
You smell that?

279
00:13:23,548 --> 00:13:24,331
What?

280
00:13:25,047 --> 00:13:27,507
Oh. Smells like
nail polish remover.

281
00:13:27,508 --> 00:13:28,393
Lots of it.

282
00:13:28,992 --> 00:13:30,462
Connecting suite next door.

283
00:13:31,466 --> 00:13:33,031
What, you think that could
have been the point of entry?

284
00:13:33,032 --> 00:13:35,471
Yeah. There was this
case a few years back.

285
00:13:35,583 --> 00:13:36,990
A burglar pumped acetone gas

286
00:13:36,991 --> 00:13:39,490
into a high-rise condo
before he robbed the place.

287
00:13:39,491 --> 00:13:41,119
Acetone, like in
nail polish remover.

288
00:13:41,120 --> 00:13:42,654
Yeah, exactly. But in gas form,

289
00:13:42,655 --> 00:13:44,248
it actually incapacitates
the victims.

290
00:13:44,249 --> 00:13:46,501
So they won't wake up
during the robbery.

291
00:13:46,502 --> 00:13:48,621
That's disturbingly
well thought-out.

292
00:13:48,622 --> 00:13:49,814
It might also explain

293
00:13:49,815 --> 00:13:52,625
why Erica has no memory
of the abduction.

294
00:13:55,046 --> 00:13:55,931
Hold on.

295
00:14:03,727 --> 00:14:04,949
What are you doing?

296
00:14:09,640 --> 00:14:11,932
Just large enough to
feed a gas line through.

297
00:14:13,037 --> 00:14:14,643
We need to get into that room.

298
00:14:16,873 --> 00:14:17,920
I spoke to the manager.

299
00:14:17,921 --> 00:14:21,380
All the calls from Erica's cell?
Room 106, right here.

300
00:14:21,834 --> 00:14:22,432
Did you get a name?

301
00:14:22,433 --> 00:14:24,236
No. The guy paid cash up front.

302
00:14:24,237 --> 00:14:25,252
He's been here a week.

303
00:14:35,401 --> 00:14:35,955
Hello?

304
00:14:35,956 --> 00:14:37,718
Hello? Anyone home?

305
00:14:37,719 --> 00:14:38,777
Nobody's home. All right.

306
00:14:38,778 --> 00:14:41,425
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
What the hell are you doing?

307
00:14:41,426 --> 00:14:43,245
I'm trying to open it.
That's what doors do.

308
00:14:43,246 --> 00:14:46,335
First of all, you cannot
open doors without consent.

309
00:14:46,336 --> 00:14:48,181
Is that clear? And second?

310
00:14:48,182 --> 00:14:49,864
Second, it's probably locked.

311
00:14:50,746 --> 00:14:51,571
Yes. It's locked.

312
00:14:51,572 --> 00:14:54,915
But I may have heard a
distant cry for help.

313
00:14:54,916 --> 00:14:57,795
"Please help me,
" Coming through this door.

314
00:14:57,796 --> 00:15:00,564
Therefore giving us probable
cause to enter the premises.

315
00:15:00,565 --> 00:15:02,972
And we would be remiss not to
render assistance to that call.

316
00:15:02,973 --> 00:15:04,849
Right? I agree, yes.

317
00:15:05,219 --> 00:15:08,242
Whoa! Whoa! What the
hell are you doing?

318
00:15:08,493 --> 00:15:10,848
Probable cause. I thought
we were just doing a thing.

319
00:15:10,849 --> 00:15:13,752
A thing... I meant that we'd
get a key from the manager,

320
00:15:13,753 --> 00:15:15,450
you Neanderthal animal.

321
00:15:15,451 --> 00:15:16,772
Okay. Just go.

322
00:15:19,137 --> 00:15:20,947
Come check this out. I cannot wait

323
00:15:20,948 --> 00:15:21,993
to tell these people that you

324
00:15:21,994 --> 00:15:24,095
and the state of Hawaii
owe them a new door.

325
00:15:25,144 --> 00:15:26,974
Erica and Jake Harris.

326
00:15:27,037 --> 00:15:28,417
They're in all of these.

327
00:15:28,994 --> 00:15:31,176
Looks like they picked up a
stalker on their honeymoon.

328
00:15:31,177 --> 00:15:31,892
Yeah.

329
00:15:38,282 --> 00:15:39,801
Gun! Gun! Oh! Oh!

330
00:15:39,802 --> 00:15:41,989
Whoa, whoa, whoa! Five-O!

331
00:15:41,990 --> 00:15:43,603
You move, I'm gonna
kill you. Okay?

332
00:15:43,604 --> 00:15:44,361
Yeah.

333
00:15:51,844 --> 00:15:54,561
Kurt Miller. Berkeley, California.

334
00:15:54,562 --> 00:15:56,145
What are you people
doing in my room?

335
00:15:56,146 --> 00:15:58,333
We're investigating a case.
What are you doing?

336
00:15:58,334 --> 00:16:00,097
He's got a P.I. License.

337
00:16:00,427 --> 00:16:02,323
I'm investigating a case, too.

338
00:16:08,763 --> 00:16:10,817
This looks like our
source of the acetone.

339
00:16:27,421 --> 00:16:28,149
Chin!

340
00:16:30,445 --> 00:16:31,375
You find something?

341
00:16:32,567 --> 00:16:34,522
Yeah. Jake Harris.

342
00:16:44,412 --> 00:16:48,750
**miner says Jake's been
dead for 12 hours.

343
00:16:48,956 --> 00:16:51,289
That puts the murder
at about 2:00 A.M.

344
00:16:51,290 --> 00:16:52,570
Fits Erica's timeline.

345
00:16:52,571 --> 00:16:54,077
Yeah, but that's
not the only thing.

346
00:16:54,078 --> 00:16:57,008
Someone fed gas into their
room from an adjoining suite.

347
00:16:57,009 --> 00:16:58,656
My guess is that it's acetone,

348
00:16:58,657 --> 00:17:00,057
which explains Erica's memory gap

349
00:17:00,058 --> 00:17:01,648
and how she just
woke up in the woods.

350
00:17:01,649 --> 00:17:03,733
Did you get an ID on whoever
rented the adjoining suite?

351
00:17:03,734 --> 00:17:05,448
No. It wasn't booked
for last night.

352
00:17:05,449 --> 00:17:08,336
Suspect gained access using
a stolen maintenance key.

353
00:17:08,632 --> 00:17:09,790
You get anything on your end?

354
00:17:09,791 --> 00:17:10,889
I'll let you know.

355
00:17:11,614 --> 00:17:13,399
Look, I know how this must look.

356
00:17:13,583 --> 00:17:15,694
I'm a former cop, myself.

357
00:17:16,599 --> 00:17:18,577
There's an abduction.
There's one person missing.

358
00:17:18,578 --> 00:17:20,528
You find me here with
some incriminating photos.

359
00:17:20,529 --> 00:17:22,123
Some incriminating photos?

360
00:17:22,124 --> 00:17:23,171
Huh? Pay attention.

361
00:17:23,172 --> 00:17:24,075
Magnum. All right?

362
00:17:24,076 --> 00:17:25,986
You're like stalkerazzi.
There's 200 photos

363
00:17:25,987 --> 00:17:26,918
of the same couple.

364
00:17:26,919 --> 00:17:29,079
I'm not saying anything else
without my counsel here.

365
00:17:29,080 --> 00:17:30,324
So book me if you have to.

366
00:17:30,325 --> 00:17:31,615
Do not say it.

367
00:17:32,960 --> 00:17:33,844
Thank you.

368
00:17:34,590 --> 00:17:36,639
We book you, it's going
to be for murder one.

369
00:17:36,953 --> 00:17:38,138
What are you talking about?

370
00:17:38,139 --> 00:17:39,480
Jake Harris is dead.

371
00:17:39,900 --> 00:17:41,764
They found his body at the Akahai.

372
00:17:53,827 --> 00:17:55,308
His father's an old friend.

373
00:17:55,309 --> 00:17:57,876
I've been working at the
firm for over 20 years

374
00:17:57,877 --> 00:17:59,543
as an in-house investigator.

375
00:18:02,631 --> 00:18:04,134
Jake was like family.

376
00:18:04,723 --> 00:18:06,271
Nancy asked me to help.

377
00:18:06,455 --> 00:18:07,872
Nancy Harris? Jake's mother?

378
00:18:07,873 --> 00:18:09,395
After they got engaged,

379
00:18:09,396 --> 00:18:11,264
she had me run a
background check on Erica.

380
00:18:11,265 --> 00:18:13,941
Then the kids took off,
and she sent me to find them.

381
00:18:13,942 --> 00:18:15,447
How long were you tailing them?

382
00:18:16,237 --> 00:18:17,438
I got here after the wedding.

383
00:18:17,439 --> 00:18:18,911
Followed them for about a week,

384
00:18:19,780 --> 00:18:21,172
until two days ago.

385
00:18:21,804 --> 00:18:22,790
Why did you stop?

386
00:18:24,222 --> 00:18:25,040
I got made.

387
00:18:26,552 --> 00:18:29,596
Jake spotted me and demanded
I back off, so I did.

388
00:18:31,262 --> 00:18:33,524
Oh, maybe if I'd been there,
I could have stopped it.

389
00:18:33,525 --> 00:18:34,285
Okay, uh...

390
00:18:34,286 --> 00:18:35,678
Let me ask you a question, okay?

391
00:18:35,679 --> 00:18:37,220
You ran background on Erica.

392
00:18:37,221 --> 00:18:39,204
You saw how she was with Jake.

393
00:18:39,205 --> 00:18:40,622
Was she playing him?

394
00:18:42,792 --> 00:18:44,243
I'll tell you like I told Nancy.

395
00:18:44,244 --> 00:18:45,649
I've seen a lot of gold
diggers in my time,

396
00:18:45,650 --> 00:18:47,649
but Erica was not one of them.

397
00:18:48,000 --> 00:18:49,887
The way she loved Jake...

398
00:18:50,652 --> 00:18:52,257
There's no faking that.

399
00:19:08,772 --> 00:19:09,813
I got this one.

400
00:19:11,271 --> 00:19:12,145
Thank you.

401
00:19:56,754 --> 00:19:59,495
My first week out of the academy,

402
00:19:59,848 --> 00:20:00,855
we get a call.

403
00:20:01,658 --> 00:20:02,736
Drive-by shooting.

404
00:20:03,373 --> 00:20:07,301
And um, an eight-year-old kid
gets shot in the crossfire.

405
00:20:07,302 --> 00:20:09,535
And it is my job to go
tell this kid's mother

406
00:20:09,536 --> 00:20:11,252
that she has lost her son.

407
00:20:11,975 --> 00:20:14,288
I remember that moment.
It was brutal.

408
00:20:14,289 --> 00:20:14,934
I remember sitting there,
thinking,

409
00:20:14,935 --> 00:20:17,774
"This has got to get easier."
You know?

410
00:20:17,775 --> 00:20:19,211
Yeah. But it doesn't.

411
00:20:21,635 --> 00:20:22,947
I was 16.

412
00:20:24,290 --> 00:20:25,882
My mom was late for dinner.

413
00:20:26,359 --> 00:20:27,435
Mom was never late.

414
00:20:28,664 --> 00:20:31,210
And, uh, the doorbell rang,
and from the minute

415
00:20:31,211 --> 00:20:33,475
I saw that cop's face,
I knew right away.

416
00:20:34,390 --> 00:20:35,321
How did it happen?

417
00:20:35,999 --> 00:20:37,345
It was a car accident.

418
00:20:37,347 --> 00:20:38,402
Drunk driver.

419
00:20:38,509 --> 00:20:40,664
You know, my dad used to say
he felt sorry for the cop

420
00:20:40,665 --> 00:20:41,864
who had to come and tell us.

421
00:20:41,865 --> 00:20:44,079
And I never understood
what he meant by that,

422
00:20:44,701 --> 00:20:47,576
until the day came that
I had to do it myself.

423
00:20:50,230 --> 00:20:52,594
I guess the day you get used to it

424
00:20:52,595 --> 00:20:54,704
is the day you hang it up, right?

425
00:20:59,257 --> 00:21:00,389
Radio? Yeah.

426
00:21:10,505 --> 00:21:11,593
Are you serious?

427
00:21:12,846 --> 00:21:13,595
What?

428
00:21:13,595 --> 00:21:16,468
You're not gonna do something?
You're not gonna change this?

429
00:21:16,867 --> 00:21:17,685
What's wrong with this?

430
00:21:17,686 --> 00:21:18,330
You're gonna leave this?

431
00:21:18,331 --> 00:21:19,321
You're not gonna do
something about this?

432
00:21:19,322 --> 00:21:21,334
It's okay. It's okay?!

433
00:21:21,335 --> 00:21:23,438
All right. Okay.

434
00:21:23,439 --> 00:21:26,893
I know that you have been
trained to endure torture.

435
00:21:26,894 --> 00:21:29,576
Okay? But this is
unbearable, okay?

436
00:21:29,577 --> 00:21:31,267
This is... This is...
This is not right.

437
00:21:31,268 --> 00:21:34,272
Okay? Songs this bad make
even stable people want

438
00:21:34,273 --> 00:21:36,432
to kill other people.
You understand?

439
00:21:40,936 --> 00:21:42,506
I think it's kind of catchy.

440
00:21:42,811 --> 00:21:43,730
You...

441
00:21:54,438 --> 00:21:56,524
Sounds like he's
torturing a walrus.

442
00:21:57,108 --> 00:21:57,901
Max?

443
00:22:01,089 --> 00:22:01,626
Max!

444
00:22:01,627 --> 00:22:02,739
Uh, yes, oh, hi.

445
00:22:02,740 --> 00:22:05,773
Uh, uh, th-the room
gets extremely cold,

446
00:22:05,774 --> 00:22:08,072
which causes the soundboard
to expand and contract,

447
00:22:08,073 --> 00:22:10,024
which causes the
pitch to be off-key.

448
00:22:10,025 --> 00:22:13,752
I had a piano tuner,
but he liked to... chat.

449
00:22:13,758 --> 00:22:15,325
It was emotionally draining.

450
00:22:17,169 --> 00:22:19,807
Max, do you have the autopsy
results on Jake Harris?

451
00:22:19,808 --> 00:22:20,741
I do.

452
00:22:21,984 --> 00:22:25,333
C.O.D. Was asphyxiation as a
result of ligature strangulation.

453
00:22:25,334 --> 00:22:26,639
No defensive wounds,

454
00:22:26,640 --> 00:22:29,035
no apparent signs that the
victim tried to resist.

455
00:22:29,036 --> 00:22:31,259
There was a canister of
acetone gas at the scene.

456
00:22:31,260 --> 00:22:32,349
We think he was sedated.

457
00:22:32,350 --> 00:22:34,638
Yes, that would be consistent
with the tox panel.

458
00:22:34,639 --> 00:22:37,338
Mr. Harris had elevated
levels of ketone in his blood.

459
00:22:37,339 --> 00:22:38,758
I'm guessing we'll
find the same thing

460
00:22:38,759 --> 00:22:40,530
when we get back Erica's
tests from the hospital.

461
00:22:40,939 --> 00:22:42,055
The wife was assaulted as well?

462
00:22:42,056 --> 00:22:43,798
Yeah, she was abducted
from the hotel.

463
00:22:44,781 --> 00:22:46,525
Was she taken to a remote area?

464
00:22:46,526 --> 00:22:47,331
Yeah.

465
00:22:47,695 --> 00:22:51,463
And let me guess... They were
newlyweds here on honeymoon?

466
00:22:51,464 --> 00:22:53,362
Okay, how are you putting
this all together?

467
00:22:53,571 --> 00:22:55,575
Well, in my spare time

468
00:22:55,576 --> 00:22:57,420
I contribute to an
online community

469
00:22:57,421 --> 00:23:00,566
devoted to unsolved homicides.

470
00:23:00,567 --> 00:23:02,398
So you work with
dead bodies all day,

471
00:23:02,399 --> 00:23:04,227
and your hobby is dead bodies?

472
00:23:04,228 --> 00:23:05,296
I also make pickles.

473
00:23:05,297 --> 00:23:07,475
It's a good way to
reuse specimen jars.

474
00:23:10,439 --> 00:23:11,221
There we go.

475
00:23:13,194 --> 00:23:15,805
About a year ago there
was a series of homicides

476
00:23:15,806 --> 00:23:17,555
in French Polynesia.

477
00:23:17,579 --> 00:23:19,889
So you think they're
connected to the Harris case?

478
00:23:19,890 --> 00:23:20,818
Similar M.O.

479
00:23:20,819 --> 00:23:22,659
All victims were newlywed couples,

480
00:23:22,660 --> 00:23:25,526
all were dosed with tranquilizing
agents prior to the attack,

481
00:23:25,527 --> 00:23:28,589
and in every case the men
were asphyxiated on site.

482
00:23:28,590 --> 00:23:29,887
What about the women?

483
00:23:29,909 --> 00:23:33,047
Well, the killer took
more time with them.

484
00:23:33,048 --> 00:23:37,359
They were always found 24 to
48 hours later, mutilated.

485
00:23:37,360 --> 00:23:40,053
Their bodies were discarded
in isolated areas.

486
00:23:40,360 --> 00:23:41,954
This is our guy.

487
00:23:42,632 --> 00:23:44,089
We have a serial killer.

488
00:23:46,534 --> 00:23:49,058
We got three couples murdered
over the course of seven days.

489
00:23:49,059 --> 00:23:52,947
One in Bora-Bora, one in Huahine,
the other in Mooréa.

490
00:23:52,948 --> 00:23:54,426
All of them were newlyweds.

491
00:23:54,427 --> 00:23:56,140
The newlywed killer.

492
00:23:56,141 --> 00:23:57,249
Someone should just tell this guy

493
00:23:57,250 --> 00:23:58,852
that if people stay
married long enough,

494
00:23:58,853 --> 00:23:59,869
they just kill each other.

495
00:23:59,870 --> 00:24:01,258
It gets weirder. Check this out.

496
00:24:01,259 --> 00:24:03,263
So here's Erica Harris.

497
00:24:03,559 --> 00:24:06,708
Now, here are his previous
three female victims...

498
00:24:06,709 --> 00:24:09,015
All from the mainland,
dark hair, blue eyes.

499
00:24:09,016 --> 00:24:10,402
At least we know he has a type.

500
00:24:10,403 --> 00:24:11,795
This may help us
find his next victim.

501
00:24:11,796 --> 00:24:13,762
And there definitely
will be a next victim.

502
00:24:13,763 --> 00:24:15,620
Last time this guy
dropped three bodies.

503
00:24:15,621 --> 00:24:17,654
All right, this guy's
pretty clever, right?

504
00:24:17,655 --> 00:24:18,512
He commits a crime,

505
00:24:18,513 --> 00:24:20,516
and before the bodies are found,
he's off to another island.

506
00:24:20,517 --> 00:24:22,566
Which means he may not
be on Oahu anymore.

507
00:24:23,116 --> 00:24:25,302
McGarrett. I'll put out an alert

508
00:24:25,303 --> 00:24:26,994
to all the statewide law
enforcement agencies

509
00:24:26,995 --> 00:24:28,792
and send over what
we have so far. Okay.

510
00:24:28,793 --> 00:24:29,738
That was HPD.

511
00:24:30,090 --> 00:24:31,751
They found the Harris rental car.

512
00:24:42,776 --> 00:24:44,337
Nothing in the trunk.

513
00:24:44,823 --> 00:24:47,804
The rearview is tilted up,
the seat's pushed way back.

514
00:24:47,805 --> 00:24:49,929
I'm thinking our guy is tall...
probably about six feet.

515
00:24:49,930 --> 00:24:52,048
Right, well,
if Erica was unconscious,

516
00:24:52,049 --> 00:24:53,205
he couldn't have
taken her very far.

517
00:24:53,206 --> 00:24:55,621
She said she came
to in a dark room,

518
00:24:55,622 --> 00:24:56,746
didn't know where she was.

519
00:24:56,747 --> 00:24:59,951
We should check all nearby
storage facilities and outposts.

520
00:24:59,952 --> 00:25:01,182
I need all of your men.

521
00:25:01,183 --> 00:25:02,950
We're gonna start here,
we're gonna canvass outwards.

522
00:25:02,951 --> 00:25:03,951
Guys, guys,

523
00:25:03,952 --> 00:25:06,839
our suspect could still be here,
so look sharp.

524
00:25:06,840 --> 00:25:08,027
Okay, let's go.

525
00:25:08,695 --> 00:25:10,582
These the photos we
got off the P.I.?

526
00:25:10,583 --> 00:25:13,592
Yeah, he was trailing the
Harrises for over a week,

527
00:25:13,593 --> 00:25:15,504
snapping photos,
so I got to thinking

528
00:25:15,505 --> 00:25:17,735
that maybe he wasn't the
only one following them.

529
00:25:17,970 --> 00:25:20,783
Well, serial killers tend to
stalk their victims beforehand.

530
00:25:20,784 --> 00:25:23,269
So I ran the photos through the
facial recognition software.

531
00:25:23,270 --> 00:25:25,640
I didn't get any hits on
the national database,

532
00:25:25,993 --> 00:25:29,963
so... I started going
through the photos manually.

533
00:25:31,865 --> 00:25:33,302
You ever play Where's Waldo?

534
00:25:34,092 --> 00:25:34,921
Look at that.

535
00:25:35,265 --> 00:25:36,998
He's in three
different photographs,

536
00:25:36,999 --> 00:25:39,340
each one taken at a different
time in a different location.

537
00:25:39,341 --> 00:25:42,027
What are the odds that that's a
coincidence? That's not a coincidence.

538
00:25:42,091 --> 00:25:43,998
I think you just found
our serial killer.

539
00:25:54,236 --> 00:25:55,558
Hey, yo, over here.

540
00:25:56,793 --> 00:25:57,846
This door, huh?

541
00:25:59,816 --> 00:26:01,619
This is where he could have
been holding our victim.

542
00:26:01,620 --> 00:26:04,440
Okay, one, two, three, go.

543
00:26:15,640 --> 00:26:16,334
Good?

544
00:26:16,343 --> 00:26:17,204
Clear.

545
00:26:18,288 --> 00:26:19,215
See this rope?

546
00:26:19,216 --> 00:26:20,396
Has blood on it.

547
00:26:20,397 --> 00:26:21,620
Come check this out.

548
00:26:24,053 --> 00:26:24,860
Wow.

549
00:26:26,157 --> 00:26:27,301
Very charming fellow.

550
00:26:27,302 --> 00:26:29,142
Must have been the popular
kid in high school.

551
00:26:31,386 --> 00:26:32,373
I got morphine.

552
00:26:32,459 --> 00:26:34,107
This must be how he sedated her.

553
00:26:34,108 --> 00:26:35,847
I guess he didn't use
a big enough dose.

554
00:26:35,848 --> 00:26:39,011
Morphine is a Schedule
I controlled substance.

555
00:26:39,012 --> 00:26:41,191
Right, which means every
dose is traceable.

556
00:26:41,555 --> 00:26:42,934
I'll get Kono onto it.

557
00:26:48,978 --> 00:26:50,652
Have you tracked that
vial of morphine?

558
00:26:50,653 --> 00:26:52,687
Yeah, I got a hit
on the Rx number.

559
00:26:52,713 --> 00:26:54,724
It looks like this
particular vial was released

560
00:26:54,725 --> 00:26:55,904
to the chief medical officer

561
00:26:55,905 --> 00:26:58,617
aboard a Pacific Discovery
cruise ship... The Eternity...

562
00:26:58,618 --> 00:27:00,882
but it was stolen from
the ship's infirmary

563
00:27:00,883 --> 00:27:01,884
two days ago.

564
00:27:01,885 --> 00:27:03,196
A cruise ship? Yeah.

565
00:27:03,197 --> 00:27:04,087
Why, what are you thinking?

566
00:27:04,088 --> 00:27:05,165
The previous murders...

567
00:27:05,166 --> 00:27:07,254
Bora-Bora, Huahine, and Mooréa...

568
00:27:07,255 --> 00:27:09,853
they're all popular stops
on Polynesian cruise lines.

569
00:27:09,854 --> 00:27:11,846
So this guy's traveling
by cruise ship

570
00:27:11,847 --> 00:27:14,515
and he's stalking his victims
on shore when the boats dock.

571
00:27:14,516 --> 00:27:16,380
I'm betting he's on The
Eternity right now.

572
00:27:16,555 --> 00:27:17,375
McGarrett.

573
00:27:17,376 --> 00:27:19,861
So we took another look at
those murders from a year ago.

574
00:27:19,862 --> 00:27:21,070
Each one of them occurred

575
00:27:21,071 --> 00:27:23,306
when The Star of Polynesia
was docked at port.

576
00:27:23,307 --> 00:27:24,883
That's a cruise ship
that tours those islands.

577
00:27:24,884 --> 00:27:26,715
Dates and locations match exactly.

578
00:27:26,716 --> 00:27:29,389
Now we know how he got from
island to island... on that boat.

579
00:27:29,390 --> 00:27:31,129
Right, and that
morphine you found?

580
00:27:31,130 --> 00:27:33,657
That was just stolen off a
local ship called The Eternity.

581
00:27:33,658 --> 00:27:35,945
I checked the passenger
lists for both cruise ships,

582
00:27:35,946 --> 00:27:37,720
and there's one name
that appears on both.

583
00:27:37,721 --> 00:27:40,390
Bradford Matinsky, 36.

584
00:27:40,391 --> 00:27:43,012
He boarded The Eternity four
days ago on the Big Island.

585
00:27:43,013 --> 00:27:45,012
And he matches the photos
we got off of that P.I.

586
00:27:45,013 --> 00:27:45,869
This is our guy.

587
00:27:45,870 --> 00:27:47,356
Okay, where's that ship now?

588
00:27:47,357 --> 00:27:49,825
Ten miles off of Kauai...
it's scheduled to dock

589
00:27:49,826 --> 00:27:52,091
in less than an hour,
right around sunrise.

590
00:27:52,092 --> 00:27:54,259
We're working on all our
options to keep it at dock.

591
00:27:54,260 --> 00:27:56,306
Okay, well, tell them
Customs is backed up,

592
00:27:56,307 --> 00:27:57,098
call in a bomb threat.

593
00:27:57,099 --> 00:27:59,179
Hell, have CDC quarantine
the entire ship

594
00:27:59,180 --> 00:28:00,746
on suspicion of a
black plague outbreak.

595
00:28:00,747 --> 00:28:01,986
I don't care what you do.

596
00:28:01,987 --> 00:28:03,637
Okay, nobody disembarks.

597
00:28:03,638 --> 00:28:04,568
Got it.

598
00:28:12,773 --> 00:28:13,758
Give me those two.

599
00:28:17,073 --> 00:28:17,731
Put that on.

600
00:28:17,732 --> 00:28:19,090
Absolutely not.

601
00:28:19,757 --> 00:28:21,902
Listen, we're going after
a dangerous suspect

602
00:28:21,903 --> 00:28:23,609
who may now be aware the
police are after him.

603
00:28:23,610 --> 00:28:25,254
We don't want to spook him;
we want to blend in.

604
00:28:25,255 --> 00:28:25,805
Put the lei on.

605
00:28:25,806 --> 00:28:28,194
Please don't make me wear flowers.

606
00:28:28,195 --> 00:28:30,256
Danny, we don't
have a lot of time.

607
00:28:30,698 --> 00:28:33,440
I'm gonna do it, okay,
but I'm not gonna be happy.

608
00:28:33,448 --> 00:28:34,343
And take the tie off.

609
00:28:34,344 --> 00:28:35,642
No one on a cruise
ship wears a tie.

610
00:28:35,643 --> 00:28:37,027
Oh, yes, they do,
they do all the time

611
00:28:37,028 --> 00:28:38,597
so they can hang themselves
when they're bored.

612
00:28:38,598 --> 00:28:39,923
Okay, well, put it in your pocket

613
00:28:39,924 --> 00:28:41,246
and you can kill yourself later.

614
00:28:48,224 --> 00:28:50,264
Kalia deck, cabin 226.

615
00:28:50,265 --> 00:28:52,089
Make sure the corridors
are clear before we go in.

616
00:28:52,090 --> 00:28:54,024
I'm not going to put
any passengers at risk.

617
00:28:57,437 --> 00:28:58,570
Keep all these folks back, okay?

618
00:28:58,571 --> 00:28:59,411
All right.

619
00:29:11,873 --> 00:29:12,770
Ready?

620
00:29:13,921 --> 00:29:15,649
One, two...

621
00:29:29,093 --> 00:29:29,967
He's not here.

622
00:29:31,602 --> 00:29:33,816
Listen up. You guys have been
docked here for over an hour,

623
00:29:33,817 --> 00:29:35,095
which means our suspect
is more than likely

624
00:29:35,096 --> 00:29:36,549
getting a little antsy right now,

625
00:29:36,550 --> 00:29:38,931
so we need to execute the
search as quickly as possible

626
00:29:38,932 --> 00:29:40,867
before he takes things
into his own hands.

627
00:29:40,868 --> 00:29:41,901
Take a look at the photos

628
00:29:41,902 --> 00:29:43,089
and pass 'em along.

629
00:29:43,090 --> 00:29:44,849
His name is Bradford Matinsky.

630
00:29:44,850 --> 00:29:45,687
He's six feet tall,

631
00:29:45,688 --> 00:29:46,805
36 years old.

632
00:29:46,806 --> 00:29:48,119
He's extremely dangerous

633
00:29:48,120 --> 00:29:51,585
and he's more than likely armed,
so do not try to apprehend him.

634
00:29:51,586 --> 00:29:54,212
Okay? If you spot him,
you radio me immediately.

635
00:29:54,213 --> 00:29:54,744
Got that?

636
00:29:54,745 --> 00:29:57,781
Okay, move out, let's go,
let's go, go.

637
00:29:57,897 --> 00:29:59,485
Unfortunately, we are experiencing

638
00:29:59,486 --> 00:30:02,507
mechanical issues with the
gangway at this point.

639
00:30:02,508 --> 00:30:05,385
For your safety we ask
that you remain onboard

640
00:30:05,386 --> 00:30:06,699
until further notice.

641
00:30:06,700 --> 00:30:09,710
I'm sure we'll be able to
get you folks underway soon.

642
00:30:16,093 --> 00:30:17,944
Danny, check that suitcase.

643
00:30:23,658 --> 00:30:25,915
We got to find out how
this guy picks his victims.

644
00:30:27,950 --> 00:30:28,790
Heads up.

645
00:30:28,898 --> 00:30:29,737
What do you got?

646
00:30:34,309 --> 00:30:36,046
Wedding and engagement rings.

647
00:30:37,122 --> 00:30:38,990
Matinsky took these
off his victims.

648
00:30:38,991 --> 00:30:40,245
These are trophies of his kills.

649
00:30:40,246 --> 00:30:43,122
This guy is beyond disturbed.

650
00:30:43,123 --> 00:30:45,374
Okay, I bet he even eats
from the buffet line.

651
00:30:45,626 --> 00:30:48,152
Wait a minute, Danny,
check this out.

652
00:30:55,775 --> 00:30:58,010
Looks like this guy
did his homework.

653
00:31:00,867 --> 00:31:03,710
These are from the Akahai's
internal booking system.

654
00:31:04,050 --> 00:31:06,161
It's a reservation list for
every room in the hotel,

655
00:31:06,162 --> 00:31:07,386
and Jake Harris' name is circled.

656
00:31:07,387 --> 00:31:08,444
How the hell does
he get this stuff?

657
00:31:08,445 --> 00:31:11,162
He's got travel itineraries,
topography maps,

658
00:31:11,163 --> 00:31:12,648
wedding announcements.

659
00:31:14,847 --> 00:31:16,520
All the women look alike.

660
00:31:17,743 --> 00:31:19,775
In each of these couples
all the women...

661
00:31:22,243 --> 00:31:23,803
That's how he does it.

662
00:31:24,077 --> 00:31:25,042
That's how he does it.

663
00:31:25,043 --> 00:31:26,801
Danny, look, they're all couples.

664
00:31:26,802 --> 00:31:28,844
He finds couples booked
into honeymoon suites

665
00:31:28,845 --> 00:31:30,019
and he stalks them online.

666
00:31:30,020 --> 00:31:31,950
Finds the ones that fit his M.O.

667
00:31:32,531 --> 00:31:35,260
I mean, we got... we got
at least four couples here.

668
00:31:35,261 --> 00:31:38,039
Okay, so how are we going to find
out who's next? I don't know, pick.

669
00:31:38,040 --> 00:31:39,196
Commander McGarrett.

670
00:31:42,310 --> 00:31:44,748
Commander McGarrett,
I've got eyes on the suspect.

671
00:31:48,002 --> 00:31:49,712
Atrium deck,
headed down the stairwell.

672
00:31:49,713 --> 00:31:52,046
Copy that. Do not close
on Matinsky, okay?

673
00:31:52,047 --> 00:31:53,062
We're headed your way.

674
00:32:07,142 --> 00:32:08,082
I'm still on him.

675
00:32:10,223 --> 00:32:12,087
He's heading towards the
staterooms on the...

676
00:32:22,103 --> 00:32:22,909
Danny.

677
00:32:24,794 --> 00:32:25,912
I got him, go ahead.

678
00:32:26,980 --> 00:32:27,624
You all right?

679
00:32:27,625 --> 00:32:28,445
He went that way.

680
00:32:34,031 --> 00:32:35,220
Ma'am, back in your room.

681
00:32:35,238 --> 00:32:36,878
Back in your room, close the door.

682
00:33:13,493 --> 00:33:15,679
All right, Coast Guard's
got divers in the water.

683
00:33:15,680 --> 00:33:17,497
Kauai PD has been up
and down the shoreline.

684
00:33:17,498 --> 00:33:18,373
There's no sign of Matinsky.

685
00:33:18,374 --> 00:33:20,242
Yeah, he's gone.
Question is, where did he go?

686
00:33:20,243 --> 00:33:21,524
All right, he could
have gotten on the plane

687
00:33:21,525 --> 00:33:22,691
when Erica got away,
but he didn't.

688
00:33:22,692 --> 00:33:23,843
All right,
he got back on the boat.

689
00:33:23,844 --> 00:33:25,464
That's right,
'cause he's not a runner.

690
00:33:25,465 --> 00:33:28,520
His drive to kill overpowers his
self-preservation instincts.

691
00:33:28,521 --> 00:33:30,801
He didn't kill Erica,
so now he needs a substitute.

692
00:33:30,802 --> 00:33:32,785
All right, listen, I'm looking
over his file. Check this out.

693
00:33:32,786 --> 00:33:34,596
Kristen and Elliott Clark.

694
00:33:34,597 --> 00:33:36,306
Right? They got
married four days ago.

695
00:33:36,307 --> 00:33:40,032
Travel itinerary says that they are in
Kauai now staying in a honeymoon suite

696
00:33:40,033 --> 00:33:41,425
at a hotel that I
cannot pronounce.

697
00:33:41,426 --> 00:33:42,382
The Hikina.

698
00:33:42,383 --> 00:33:43,921
That's not far from here.

699
00:33:48,835 --> 00:33:50,698
All right, Chin,
you got me and super SEAL.

700
00:33:50,699 --> 00:33:51,733
Go ahead. Hey.

701
00:33:51,734 --> 00:33:53,538
So I dug up a little
more background info

702
00:33:53,539 --> 00:33:55,468
on our man Bradford Matinsky.

703
00:33:55,469 --> 00:33:57,209
Turns out, he's a systems analyst

704
00:33:57,210 --> 00:33:59,059
for an engineering firm
in Lansing, Michigan.

705
00:33:59,060 --> 00:34:00,580
Well, explains his
computer skills.

706
00:34:00,581 --> 00:34:03,591
Two years ago, he was engaged to
be married to a Natalie Hayes.

707
00:34:03,592 --> 00:34:06,358
They were planning a big
beach wedding in Barbados.

708
00:34:06,359 --> 00:34:09,257
Let me guess. She had a change of heart.
Can't imagine why.

709
00:34:09,532 --> 00:34:10,693
Took it pretty hard, though.

710
00:34:10,694 --> 00:34:12,480
He quit his job,
he went on unemployment.

711
00:34:12,481 --> 00:34:13,569
And two months later,

712
00:34:13,570 --> 00:34:14,970
Natalie Hayes goes missing.

713
00:34:14,971 --> 00:34:16,558
Surprise, surprise.

714
00:34:16,838 --> 00:34:18,242
Was Matinsky ever charged?

715
00:34:18,243 --> 00:34:19,624
No. He was a person of interest,

716
00:34:19,625 --> 00:34:21,414
but he was never formally
charged with the crime.

717
00:34:21,415 --> 00:34:22,874
Case is still unsolved.

718
00:34:22,875 --> 00:34:25,054
All right, so this nut
job kills his fiancée,

719
00:34:25,055 --> 00:34:28,066
and now he's living out some sort of sick,
sadistic revenge fantasy.

720
00:34:28,067 --> 00:34:30,533
Exactly. The dates of
the murders coincide

721
00:34:30,534 --> 00:34:31,659
with the anniversary
of the wedding,

722
00:34:31,660 --> 00:34:32,839
almost to the day.

723
00:34:32,840 --> 00:34:35,079
Marriage gets called
off in December of '08.

724
00:34:35,080 --> 00:34:37,533
Polynesian murders go
down in December of '09.

725
00:34:37,534 --> 00:34:39,124
And a year later, here we are.

726
00:34:43,120 --> 00:34:44,735
Oh, crap.

727
00:34:45,148 --> 00:34:46,382
I thought I turned it off.

728
00:34:47,048 --> 00:34:49,780
Oh, honey, you just
completely ruined my Zen.

729
00:34:49,781 --> 00:34:52,398
Sorry. It's a private number.

730
00:34:52,727 --> 00:34:53,623
Don't do it.

731
00:34:53,741 --> 00:34:54,978
It could be my parents.

732
00:34:54,979 --> 00:34:55,988
Exactly.

733
00:34:57,079 --> 00:34:57,942
Hello?

734
00:34:58,440 --> 00:34:59,545
Aloha, Mrs. Clark.

735
00:34:59,546 --> 00:35:01,362
This is Jonathan
from guest services.

736
00:35:01,363 --> 00:35:02,407
I'm sorry to disturb you,

737
00:35:02,408 --> 00:35:04,224
but you have a call
at the front desk.

738
00:35:04,927 --> 00:35:06,658
I'm in the middle of a massage.

739
00:35:06,659 --> 00:35:07,613
Do you know what it's about?

740
00:35:07,614 --> 00:35:08,709
I'm sorry, I don't,

741
00:35:08,710 --> 00:35:10,427
but they said it's
a family emergency.

742
00:35:10,428 --> 00:35:12,272
Oh, my God. Okay.

743
00:35:12,273 --> 00:35:13,327
I'll be right there.

744
00:35:13,942 --> 00:35:15,997
There's a courtesy phone
on the second floor

745
00:35:15,998 --> 00:35:17,128
at the end of the hallway.

746
00:35:17,129 --> 00:35:18,823
I can connect you from there.

747
00:35:18,927 --> 00:35:20,274
Thanks. I'm on my way.

748
00:35:27,565 --> 00:35:29,251
I wasn't able to get in
touch with the Clarks.

749
00:35:29,252 --> 00:35:30,705
All right, we're still
ten minutes out.

750
00:35:30,706 --> 00:35:31,806
We need to find them.

751
00:35:31,807 --> 00:35:33,716
Get their security on it.

752
00:35:37,395 --> 00:35:38,446
This can't be right.

753
00:35:38,447 --> 00:35:40,536
I don't know. He said the
courtesy phone would be here.

754
00:35:40,537 --> 00:35:41,487
I said to look for...

755
00:36:11,368 --> 00:36:12,975
Hey, that's him right there.

756
00:36:12,976 --> 00:36:14,535
That's him? That's him.

757
00:36:29,959 --> 00:36:32,047
Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Relax!

758
00:36:41,257 --> 00:36:43,458
Go! Go! Go! Come on! Come on!
Come on! I'm going.

759
00:37:03,986 --> 00:37:04,641
All right!

760
00:37:04,642 --> 00:37:07,690
May 18, 1996.

761
00:37:07,691 --> 00:37:08,281
What is that?

762
00:37:08,282 --> 00:37:09,843
It's the last time I puked.

763
00:37:09,844 --> 00:37:11,783
All right, don't make
me break my streak.

764
00:37:11,784 --> 00:37:14,097
You will not puke in this car.
You will not puke...

765
00:37:14,098 --> 00:37:15,084
Hey!

766
00:37:18,216 --> 00:37:19,072
If you're gonna be sick in here,

767
00:37:19,073 --> 00:37:21,217
you crack that window.
This is a loaner.

768
00:37:34,710 --> 00:37:36,103
Oh, truck! Truck! Truck! Truck!

769
00:37:36,104 --> 00:37:37,010
Truck!

770
00:37:43,644 --> 00:37:45,657
Get on it! Get on it!
Let's go! I'm on it.

771
00:38:14,652 --> 00:38:15,678
He's got Kristen.

772
00:38:15,679 --> 00:38:16,910
Come on, come on. Yeah.

773
00:38:28,627 --> 00:38:29,748
Drop your weapon!

774
00:38:30,651 --> 00:38:31,442
Stay back!

775
00:38:31,844 --> 00:38:32,864
I'm warning you.

776
00:38:33,871 --> 00:38:34,913
Stay right there!

777
00:38:35,716 --> 00:38:36,668
Put the guns down!

778
00:38:36,852 --> 00:38:40,372
Put your weapon and let
the girl go, please.

779
00:38:40,373 --> 00:38:41,669
I do, and I go to jail.

780
00:38:41,670 --> 00:38:43,329
You don't, and you die.

781
00:38:43,725 --> 00:38:45,124
So does she!

782
00:38:45,891 --> 00:38:47,889
Listen to me, huh?

783
00:38:48,389 --> 00:38:50,598
We know about your fiancée.

784
00:38:50,599 --> 00:38:53,162
We know she left you on the
altar in front of your friends,

785
00:38:53,163 --> 00:38:54,550
in front of your family.

786
00:38:55,717 --> 00:38:57,363
We know that must have hurt.

787
00:38:59,300 --> 00:39:00,669
You don't know anything.

788
00:39:00,927 --> 00:39:02,741
I do, all right?
I know what it's like

789
00:39:02,742 --> 00:39:04,819
to have someone you
love walk away from you.

790
00:39:05,712 --> 00:39:06,521
What are you doing?

791
00:39:06,522 --> 00:39:07,996
What? What are you doing?

792
00:39:07,997 --> 00:39:09,569
The guy's clearly a psychopath.

793
00:39:09,570 --> 00:39:11,352
You trying to make friends with him,
you trying to connect?

794
00:39:11,353 --> 00:39:12,406
He's standing right
in front of us.

795
00:39:12,407 --> 00:39:13,864
I see he's standing
right here, Danny,

796
00:39:13,865 --> 00:39:14,595
but you're a cop.

797
00:39:14,596 --> 00:39:15,709
You're not a therapist, you know?

798
00:39:15,710 --> 00:39:17,260
Hey, hey, hey, I have been trained

799
00:39:17,261 --> 00:39:18,567
for this kind of thing, okay?

800
00:39:18,568 --> 00:39:20,957
What, what, to bore
people into submission?

801
00:39:21,065 --> 00:39:22,460
Don't listen to him, okay?

802
00:39:22,461 --> 00:39:24,171
His idea of communication

803
00:39:24,172 --> 00:39:27,264
is-is he drops a witty one-liner
and then shoots you in the face.

804
00:39:27,265 --> 00:39:27,953
Don't worry about it. Know what?

805
00:39:27,954 --> 00:39:29,028
I'm might shoot this guy just so

806
00:39:29,029 --> 00:39:30,080
he doesn't have to
listen to you talk.

807
00:39:30,081 --> 00:39:31,461
Why don't you do your thing,

808
00:39:31,462 --> 00:39:33,025
I'll do mine, all right? Okay.

809
00:39:39,255 --> 00:39:40,826
Matinsky, put the knife down.

810
00:39:40,827 --> 00:39:42,211
It's over. It's over!

811
00:39:42,212 --> 00:39:43,638
No! No! No! No!

812
00:39:50,966 --> 00:39:52,517
Hey, hey, you're okay.

813
00:39:52,518 --> 00:39:54,676
Come here, come here.
You're all right.

814
00:39:55,712 --> 00:39:56,480
You okay?

815
00:40:13,070 --> 00:40:15,238
I don't know that I can do this.

816
00:40:16,355 --> 00:40:18,117
I don't think you
can afford not to.

817
00:40:19,347 --> 00:40:21,736
You accused your daughter-in-law
of some pretty terrible things.

818
00:40:21,737 --> 00:40:23,900
She has every reason to
hate you right now, but,

819
00:40:24,905 --> 00:40:26,240
the truth is, she needs you.

820
00:40:27,729 --> 00:40:29,020
You both loved him.

821
00:40:30,180 --> 00:40:31,868
And despite everything,
you're family.

822
00:40:31,869 --> 00:40:33,539
That should stand for something.

823
00:40:34,657 --> 00:40:36,847
Do you really think
that she'll forgive me?

824
00:40:37,987 --> 00:40:39,288
Never know unless you try.

825
00:40:47,130 --> 00:40:48,252
Take all the time you need.

826
00:41:05,685 --> 00:41:07,641
Hey, got a minute?

827
00:41:07,642 --> 00:41:08,336
Yeah.

828
00:41:12,718 --> 00:41:15,077
So, I heard back from my guy
over at the HPD archives.

829
00:41:15,078 --> 00:41:17,707
He looked up that case number
that your dad had written down.

830
00:41:18,510 --> 00:41:19,585
What did he say?

831
00:41:19,937 --> 00:41:21,015
The file is missing.

832
00:41:21,559 --> 00:41:23,141
Which means it was
either lost somehow...

833
00:41:23,142 --> 00:41:24,077
Or somebody stole it?

834
00:41:24,078 --> 00:41:26,623
Yeah. I was able to get a
little bit of information

835
00:41:26,624 --> 00:41:28,512
just based on the
file number itself.

836
00:41:28,513 --> 00:41:29,488
Here's the thing.

837
00:41:30,090 --> 00:41:33,677
The case was opened
on April 19, 1992.

838
00:41:36,707 --> 00:41:39,055
That was, uh... That was the day

839
00:41:39,056 --> 00:41:41,394
my mother had her car accident,
the day she died.

840
00:41:41,555 --> 00:41:42,386
Yeah.

841
00:41:43,998 --> 00:41:46,525
Okay, uh... why...

842
00:41:46,647 --> 00:41:49,272
Why would somebody steal my
mother's accident report?

843
00:41:49,273 --> 00:41:50,947
Because according to this,

844
00:41:50,948 --> 00:41:52,968
it wasn't an accident report.

845
00:41:53,064 --> 00:41:54,691
What are you talking about, Chin?

846
00:41:55,045 --> 00:41:56,626
It was a homicide.

847
00:42:02,486 --> 00:42:04,294
You're saying that my
mother was murdered?

848
00:42:06,357 --> 00:42:08,568
I think that's what your
father was investigating.
